I just started using the deck but so far it's been great, so far it seems much better than the one I made myself for the end of last season.
I've gone two and one but the loss was really my fault and not at all the deck. I was playing a paladin who black knighted my river crocolisk and then played tirion followed by ysera... This is at rank nineteen where I've only ever seen one legendary before...
Anyway, thanks for putting the deck on here.
I just couldn't get out of the basement with my self-made Hunter deck. When I first made it I ran up to Level 15 super fast! Then, its like I hit a wall and just lost, lost, lost until I was back in the basement (Level 20, 0 Stars) and I couldn't get out of it. Maybe the meta game changed, I don't know. But I built and have been running this deck just as its written and after 8 games my record is:
W, W, W, L, W, W, L, W, W
So a record of 7 and 2 out of the gate is, I think, pretty good! There's no weapons, but it permits you to focus your game on controlling the board. If you stay focused on that, you'll do well. At least, that's what I've seen so far.
Any suggestions what I should swap out for those cards?
I respectfully disagree. Secrets tend to be really, really overrated. You spend a lot of mana on something that can take a long time to be triggered... Only advantage is element of surprise which basically doesn't exist if your opponent is smart enough to have a general knowledge of what secrets each class has.
Just started playing, and it's a solid deck, as far as my limited understanding of the game goes. I like it so much that I'd rather not stop playing it, but I would like to upgrade it now that I've been playing enough to get some decent cards. Can anyone recommend a few mid-tier replacements?
Maybe try a combo with scavenging hyena, snake trap and unleash the hounds? Just need some strong taunt card to protect the Hyena.
Don't have a Snake Trap, but the others are doable. Scavenging Hyena, over the last few games, has proven hard to defend; it seems like everyone would rather just blow some low level removal on it. Still, it's a good card and I'm willing to continue using it, so thanks for the suggestion.
Until you really start getting a lot of cards, this deck is probably your best bet, at least if you're craving consistency anyway. Combos are possible with cards like hyena but tend to depend on a lot of things going right for you.
