Total Deck Rating
23
I am writing a list of all competitive Rank 1/Legendary decks so that others can copy the cookie cutter metagame.
I have been in top 50 players 3 times, and running up of MLG Managrind Open #3 and Top 8 in 2 other MLG/Managrind events. I take no credit for these decks. These have all been modified slightly by myself or copied from experience at Rank 1/2.

Rank 1 Stall Mage - http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/21856-rank-1-stall-mage
This is the a variation of the common Rank 1-5 Druid that you will see a lot a higher rating. This decks strength is Druids strong board clearing abilities, high HP Taunt and potent legendaries.
STRATEGY
This deck plays similar against all classes. The key here is too stall to late game with Taunts and Druids excellent board clear. Do not be afraid to Innervate out a Yeti on turn 1 if you go on turn 2. Innervate allows you to get extremely strong creatures like Ragnaros out early. Never play a Big Game Hunter early unless that person is running an aggro deck. Killing Ragnaros or Giants for free is game breaking.
STALL MAGES
This is where this deck shines. Mages will not be able to deal with your big taunts and high hp Minions. Use Big Game Hunter or removal on Giants, even if you have to use 2/3 cards. This match is about survival. 1 Giant and Alexstranza on turn 9(8 with coin) will probably kill you.
PALADINS
I will only write this as a warning. Do NOT overload your board with valuable Minions. He will have Equality, Your minions will die, you will lose. If you are struggling against Paladins consider removing a Yeti or Wild Growth and put in a Dark Iron Dwarf/Mark of the Wild. Buffing 6 Damage creatures like Tyrion Fordring to use Big Game Hunter on them works very well, but is gimmicky.
This deck is so slow it's gimmicky. Not being able to play a minion until 4 mana is basically auto-lose against any kind of minion rush. Rank 1? Doubt it.
Also, this deck is pretty ineffective against mages, because they will avoid your taunts with spells to the face.
My new favorite deck, but I've swapped out the 1x Wild Growth for a Bloodmage Thalnos and the 2x Chillwind Yeti's for 2x Sen'Jin Shieldmastas. I've found myself rarely getting use out of the Wild Growth (other than the end-game card draw), so would rather have Thalnos for the pumped spells for creature clear. Also, I've found the deck a little hard to stop full-on aggro, hence the Shielmastas instead of Yetis. Same health, just minus one attack to prevent murlocs from rushing the face.
Expensive yet very fun deck to play. If you have the required epics and legendaries and don't mind taking your games a bit longer. It is a lot of fun to play. Thanks for sharing :)
