Unfortunately turning into rag negates the effect of ice block. So when you turn into him you better be able to win because you will only have 8 health to do it.
Yeah, I've noticed that. I'm not sure if this is intentional or a bug. Either way it is very disappointing..
I have actually been playing the Archmage in this deck since Volcanic Drakes are not out yet! It works well but I'm not sure if I will keep him in this deck after the fourth wing. Antonidas is often your win condition in a normal freeze mage. In this variant, that's Ragnaros. The other cards are there to provide survival.
Illuminator is actually a good idea. I shall try it! This deck needs tweaks.
Hmm, looks fun. There isn't much shaman on ladder, and mech mage doesn't run polymorph, so it seems like Majordomo will usually get to either trigger deathrattle, or be a silenced 9/7 body, either of which is fine for 9 mana. The ice block / majordomo synergy seems fun. I don't think it will be a good card, but this is a good way to take a shot at it.
Volcanic Drake seems pretty good for freeze mage, somewhat like Moltens in that you can drop them for free, which is important.
What about Chromaggus? Good with all that card draw.
