It's my variation of tempo mage. I was inspired by one of CosplayGrills decks but I've made some changes. For example I'm not using flamecannon and sylvanas. I just reached top 1 EU with this decklist with w/l ratio about 20/4 or something like this. You can see me playing this deck on my stream http://www.twitch.tv/bloodlips :)
BRM is out so there is more druids and control decks so i change deck for this meta. Im now using Flamecannons (so good vs shades) and i decided to stabilize mid and late game so i added acolytes (in mid late you are able to ping them and they are still better vs aggro then arcane intellect). This change making this deck not card lack in late game.
This is what happens when "random" makes cards cost 1-0.5 mana less and op cards are never nerfed. Shredder should not be a four drop but since random its a four drop And dr boom, scientist, portal, rag and loatheb are all insanely strong. All decks can become a zoo deck now just add some of these op cards to a deck and you will have 3/4 of the deck . Even aggro decks can run boom and shredders now. I also played this type of mage to #2 a couple of days ago and its power is all in the tempo the mana reduction these op cards hold. And on top of that if your lucky with boom, rag, scientist and shredder rng it becomes even more of a tempo advantage. Most of these cards should cost 1-2 mana more making the tempo you gain insane. This is same for almost all decks nowadays but this deck in special there all built around these op cards that go 2 for 1. If you keep track of cards played and drawen you will see that the more of these op cards you play the more you win. Great game design .....-_-
i dont mean there is not skill i mean the fact that the you cant always be high ranked anymore like you used to be able to. Ofc there is still skill in the game even tho its not as consistent as it used to be its still there. The top rankings are cycled a lot faster now and its much harder to hold a high ranking but there are still good players on #1 ofc. If i am top 3 or 100 is mostly depending on rng in my experience. Some days i can play while staying top 10 for hours while other days i cant even get into top 100. I dunno if you notice this but at least i have and its not only because of the card rng but also the fact that these " nut" draws are easier to achieve now. a lot of games you just cant win because your opponent has an insane draw and when losing 1 game means -10 ranks you need this to not happen. Specificaly 2-1 is a lot of luck when you need to win 6-7 games in a row.
Really not having much success with this deck, there are a million moving parts and with my level of luck none of them ever come together.
Bloodlips Top 1 EU Tempo Mage Gameplay. Hope you enjoy it. XD
Strange vid with bunch of misplays. What can it tell about a deck?
beat 3 hunters in a row:DDDDDDDDDD
I used a flamecannon instead of an unstable portal.
i only have one portal
Played 20 matches with this deck and won 14 of them. My hardest match up were the heavy rush decks getting stuck with a hand full of 3-5 drops is almost an auto loose. Control was kind of a toss up mul for early game and hope you draw well for mid and late game. I really like the idea behind this deck had ton of fun counter spelling people and taking secrets away but at the end of the day found my win rate more consistent with mech mage.
I like how simple this deck is.
They're strong unless you're playing against decks with spare parts. xD
This is great, really.
Won 10 games straight from rank 17. Mostly in turns 6-8.
Its deck ШтанУдачи with minor changes
Interesting deck, I've been playing it at ~r13-10 ish range. It can keep up well but I feel like at times it lacks draw and I'm topdecking often without a hand. Do you ever feel this is the case?
Great changes, love the Acolytes -- I kept two mana wurms and just have one flame cannon. Tech-ed in a black knight for all the druids.
At rank 5 now --
Where do you see the new mage card, Flamewaker, fitting in to this deck? Seems like it will make this deck even better, not sure what you would take out though.
