This is the deck I made after the undertaker nerf to anticipate a more controlish meta.
I'll go over some points that might differ from the classic control warrior:
- 5 weapons: This is on the edge of too much, but betwine our heropower, shield maiden and shieldblocks, we get a lot of health to work with and the best way to use it is weapons.
- no armorsmiths: Shield maiden takes over this role with a much stronger 5/5 body to go with it. It also eliminates the need for whirlwinds.
- no cleave/brawl: I might change this depending on the meta, but because it's much more controlish now there is no need for them atm.
For these cards I added in some cards that go well on the curve like piloted shredder and bomb lobber. Piloted shredders are great because often you'll have some mana to play with since our removal is cheap and keeps your opponent busy so they won't overrun you. Bomb lobber is there to keep up the card advantage and get some boardpresence.
Basic strategy is to keep their board clear and play piloted shredder and acolyte of plain when you get extra mana. You will notice it's very easy to gain card advantage because of the weapons and sticky minions. Don't be affraid to be aggresive a bit earlier compared to the classic control version. Our main weakness are very agressive decks because we don't have good boardclears and lack early removeal besides the weapons. We still stand a good chance because of our huge healthpool and can often catch up later in the game.
I'm typing this on a tablet atm so with enough upvotes I'll write a more detailed guide on a desktop.
I love the addition of Bomb Lobber and Piloted Shredder but i think the lack of Armorsmith and Whirlwind make the deck really weaker against Mech Mages which is everywhere on the ladder but this list is much better against Druid wich is the hardest match-up to me...
Although, I'm really struggling against Reincarnate Sham, what do you thin about switching one Piloted Shredder with Baron Geddon ?
Is this working in the current meta?
I swapp out Piloted Sky Golem for Cairne Bloodhoof i think cairne trades a little bit better
Sorry but i dont think Cairne is too slow for the current meta. Cairne is better against aggro and his deathrattle is basically better than Sky Golem.
