I've been laddering with this deck today for a several hours and changed a few cards:
Trogg -> Dr. Boom
Piloted Sky Golem -> Light of the Naaru
Holy Nova -> Lightbomb
All the changes are due to increased activity of aggro decks at the start of the ladder. Dr boom is better than trogg vs aggro. Light of the naaru is a good tempo heal, and removing one 6 drop (sky golem) makes our hand less clunky. I also found that changing one holy nova for lightbomb helps as 2dmg aoe board clear just doesn't cut it sometimes.

Hi guys Jessica there. I've been a frequent legend player and first time managed to do it with control priest.
Proof:
So I've been climbing with this deck for the past couple of days (from rank 5) and the undertaker nerf finally gave me the kick to push for legend.
This decks absolutely MURDERS handlocks, warriors, midrange paladins (look at winrates) and other control decks.
2x swd, voljin, mind control + endless big threats = RIP in piece all other control decks.
It has great matchup vs midrange / aggro decks as well thanks to pyromancer, 2x nova, auch combo etc. You just wipe the board and drop big stuff ezpz. As you can see all matchups are at least 50%. Overall winrate is 70+%
How to mulligan:
1. Mulligan for: cleric, cultist, injured, pyromancer, smite and auchenai
2. If you have 2 of injured/cultist/pyro/auchenai you can discard one of them
3. If you have one of those: injured, cleric, auchenai then don't discard circle of healing
4. Dark cultist is usually better 3 drop than injured unless you have circle combo.
5. Circle + injured is MVP vs priest / druid. (they can't remove it)
6. Keep Power world shield if you already have cleric/pyro
7. Keep harrison vs warrior and pally
8. Keep SWD vs handlock
FAQ:
1. Why no Dr boom / rag?
What I noticed is that every time I would drop rag/boom it would get automatically killed by BGH. I found that trogg/sneeds/ysera are much more sticky.
2. Why pyro instead of shrinkmeister?
Because midrange decks are still a thing. You need something to clear the board vs unleash the dudes, mech mage and occasional zoo.
3. Wallet priest fag die
mad? RIP in pepperonis undertaker.
I really wish Ysera was playable in this meta because she's my favorite legendary. Unfortunately she causes more losses than wins as you rarely have a free turn when you can safely drop a 9-mana minion that has no immediate impact the board. I'm at Rank 6 now after putting Ysera on the bench.
Here are the substitutions that have worked for me:
I replaced Harrison Jones and Ysera with two Shadow Boxers. It seems like having a few two drops is very useful to help establish board control against these aggro decks. Shadow Boxer can also be really good for dishing out a little extra damage if left alone while you heal up.
i use 2 chows
What's an exceptable replacement for Vol'Jin?
im happy with this :D

boring(.
I have every single card on the new list except sneed's old shredder. Can I trade it out for Ragnaros since boom will be eating the BGH?
Hopefully you're able to see and reply to this!
But I don't have any of the legendaries, yet I still want to play a pretty competitive control priest. What are some of the suggestions to replace the legendaries with?
Ok wait, not competitive per say to get to legend. But competitive enough that I can get out of the 15-20 ranks.
Not a very good deck.
would Blingtron work as a replacement for Sneed? I'm a fan of the Blingtron + Harrison=No presents for you combo.
I like the combo as well, the simple problem is if you have just Blingtron in your hand it is pretty much a dead card (in my opinion). Regarding my own experiences playing Blingtron without Harrison lead most of the time to huge drawbacks. Therefore i would opt against Blingtron if your goal is to climb the ladder on consistently.
Blingtron 3000 is a statistics game. The card essentially reads "battlecry: win or lose the game" and you don't want to play a card that is going to lose you the game, even if it is only 10% of the time. This is the same reason people don't play Gnomish Experimenter [/card] in freeze mage, 1% of the time it is going to turn your [card]Alexstrasza into a chicken and that is a high enough percentage to avoid the risk.
Dr. Boom is the only BGH target, isn't it disturbing?
Yes and no
It´s good vs aggro and vs matchup you can Mind control another BGH target.
How do you feel about possibly replacing Light of the Naaru for Shadow Madness?
There are still so many useful Deathrattles that we can exploit with Shadow Madness while still waiting for a turn 6 Cabal.
Also, will there ever be room for Thoughtsteal?
The moment I saw this posted I knew I had to try it. I am loving your new take on the Control Priest. I have also been having some very good success using it to climb ladder currently (with 1-2 small changes to combat this aggro laden cesspool, haha take that Undertaker!) at rank 9 atm.
All in all it's a blast to play, aggro matches aren't awful at all and the fact that Handlock is not a issue makes it even better. Thank you for the great deck. (I use Troggzor instead of Sneeds though, not sure which one is better but I hate getting my late game board demolished by a spell or two)
Great deck. Why no thoughtsteal? Seems like having one or two is meta for control priest.
I just Harrison'd a Jaraxxus weapon for 8 durability when I had 2 cards in my hand. Felt great.
I just created an account to upvote your deck.
I've searched for so long for a stable Priest Control Deck and I have great success with this now.
I love how I crushing all this heavy taunt/control druids... 100% win rate so far against them. (6-0)
Here is a picture from my last game (I am just starting laddering again):
It's awesome!
