This is a very fun deck that I am currently in love with that I am using to climb the ladder. It has all around solid match-ups; none are very bad, none are phenomenal. This makes it a blast to play since you never feel like you are guaranteed a loss going into a game. The overall strategy is 1: Early trading to set up a clear board for 2: Dropping mid game minions and using spells for efficient removal. This sets up for 3: Windlord Swagger, Firelord Praise, and Kel'Thuzad. Feel free to leave any questions or suggestions in the comments!

Matchups:
Against Mage: (Difficulty 5/10)
Mulligan for: Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, Feral Spirit, and Flametongue Totem.
Aggro Mage: Keep Haunted Creeper, Zombie Chow, and Earthshock/Rockbiter to try to get an answer to undertaker / mechwarper (Rockbiter / Crackle). Keep Lightning Storm ready. Freeze/Giants Mage: Pressure her early game. Save Earth Shocks for Acolyte of Pain / Bloodmage Thalnos / Mad Scientist. Keep Mana Tide Totem as well, it is very strong against her weak early game.
Against Warrior: (Difficulty: 4/10)
Mulligan for: Earth Shock, Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, Feral Spirit, and Hex.
Haunted Creeper and Argus combo will be great against Fiery War Axe to keep his early armor down. Try to get an Acolyte of Pain answer (Earthshock, Rockbiter). Warrior will beat Shaman in the mid game, but if you keep board control you'll pull ahead in the late game. Save Hex for when you need it to get rid of those pesky Legendaries.
Against Rogue: (Difficulty: 4/10)
Mulligan for: Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, Feral Spirit, and Hex.
Keep sticky early-game minions that don't get removed by the rogues' cheap removal easily. Try to mulligan for an answer to Violet Teacher (Hex > Earth Shock). Rockbiter trades with all the Rogues' 3 drops.
Against Paladin: (Difficulty: 7/10)
Mulligan for: Rockbiter Weapon,Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, and Lightning Storm.
Keep sticky early-game minions that can trade with the paladins early-game. Lightning Storm is strong against Muster for Battle, and will save you against a turn four coined Quartermaster. Shaman and Paladin both play for strong board control, but Pally does it better. You MUST trade as efficiently as possible, and the late game is yours.
Against Priest: (Difficulty: 6/10)
Mulligan for: Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Crackle, Haunted Creeper, and Feral Spirit.
Pressure his HP in the early game, while trying to keep any of his minions off the board. Rockbiter and Crackle are great for removing his Northshire Clerics and 3-drops. If you are in a good position to rush, Hexing a circled Injured Blademaster is a good play. You can keep Flametongue Totem or Mana Tide Totem if your hand is low-curved.
Against Warlock: (Difficulty: 5/10)
Mulligan for: Earth Shock, Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, and Lightning Storm.
It is difficult to tell nowadays whether Warlock is Zoo or Hand. Mulligan aggressively for Rockbiter and Earth Shock, as it is better to mulligan against the early game deck. Keep Lightning Storm if you can. Against Handlock, save Hexes for Giants and Earth Shocks for Twilight Drakes. One very easy way to kill Handlock is to save both Rockbiters and Al'Akir the Windlord for an 18 damage burst. It is very easy to manage his hp bar and board control to just hang around for awhile before he can play his Molten Giants. I have done this multiple times, just hope you draw the rockbiters/Al'Akir.
Against Hunter: (Difficulty: 4/10)
Mulligan for: Earth Shock, Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, and Feral Spirit.
Rockbiter is your answer to Undertaker. Earth Shock deals efficiently with Mad Scientist, and Lightning Storm is a great card to hold to punish their board flooding. Keeping Defender of Argus if you have Haunted Creeper is also a great start to prevent their early game. Do not be afraid to Hex his Undertaker if you predict it will get out of hand quickly (or any other creature that will be a long-term threat).
Against Druid: (Difficulty: 6/10)
Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, Feral Spirit, and Hex.
You can pressure Druid early with your minions, as he doesn't have efficient ways to remove them early game. Try and get an early Hex, as it holds great value against any innervated creatures.
Mirror: (Difficulty: 5/10)
Earth Shock, Rockbiter Weapon, Zombie Chow, Haunted Creeper, and Feral Spirit.
Earth Shock will be great in this matchup to get rid of deathrattle from Piloted Shredders, Sylvanas Windrunner, and lots of other stuff. Lightning Storm will bring immense value as well, so save it for opportune moments. This game should go late, so maintain board control as efficiently as possible, without flooding the board into an opposing Lightning Storm.
Edit 01/29/15: After playing this deck for weeks now, and receiving a lot of feedback from viewers, I've combined my Overall, I dropped 7+ Atk minions but re-added Neptulon. The murlocs are really effective. On that note, I took out BGH because most other decks don't run 7+ Atk minions anymore, so Lightning Bolt is a much better option. Other changes can be summed up by: Crackle = Strong. Flametongue = strong. Thanks for all the feedback, and this new version is definitely the best it has been yet! See you guys on Thursdays to play it together.
Edit 02/03/15: Two Flametounges can be clunky when just sitting in your hand sometimes. Dr. Balanced is really really balanced. Took one out and replaced with Dr. Balanced so that our deck wouldn't be so OP, eh?

Join me on Thursdays for my climb to Legend with this deck! (Info at top of page)
Im really liking this deck after opening up a random Neptulon recently. I played shaman a lot during the first few seasons and thiss deck has bought me back to the reason i enjoyed the class so much.
Question! - This deck seems to be very competitive against most decks currently used but, im finding my HP gets a little low against some aggro classes. Is there any room for a Vitality Totem? Or another Antique Healbot? If so what should i remove?
Cheers for the deck...
I am sincerely glad you are enjoying the deck! I believe vitality totem has a lot more potential than healbot, the problem is that this deck doesn't have very many taunt creatures to protect it against the board state of an aggro deck. However, if it only lasts one turn, it heals you for at least 7, for only two mana. The 3/3 body that healbot gives for that extra 3 mana and one hp is definitely worth it though. If the problem is aggro, 2 mana for 7 hp (even if you don't get board value off of it) is actually very good. It's not the easiest of choices, but I think the totem would be better.
My suggestion would be to replace a Piloted Shredder with Vitality Totem. Try that out, and if you find it helps against aggro than keep it just like that. If you aren't sure, try adding a single Defender of Argus in place of the other Shredder. If you don't mind, let me know what you end up doing, I'm interesting in how well the Vitality Totem works. My only real complaint about it as of right now is it is terrible against Priest, which is already a weaker matchup.
Troggzor is quite fun and very strong into a clean board. You could definitely use him in place of Neptulon. I suppose Zombie Chow could be replaced by a second Lightning Bolt.
I see a lot of Thalnos in Shaman, and he is definitely strong for the class. How have you been doing with him? I personally like the consistency of the spells over slightly higher damage.
Probably doomhammer. I personally don't think Al has a replacement because he is just so great. If you really enjoy Shaman I highly suggest saving up to craft him. If Doomhammer is feeling clunky you can use Rag, just know that with Rag they will BGH him if you don't bait it with Neptulon first. If you do sub Rag and find he's too bgh vulnerable, KT is very good.
He's a good card. If you choose to run him I wouldn't run more than one however. He used to be in this deck, then dropped to one, now none. Shredder outclasses him a bit, however Argus does have great synergy with Creeper.
I really want a Shaman deck to work on ladder as it's my favorite class. However, from my experience, Paladin and Druid are very popular right now and this deck just doesn't have favorable match-ups against those classes. I don't see how this deck could be considered "Easy Climb" at all.
I titled it that way because it got me from Rank 25 to Rank 5 with only five losses. It took maybe six hours. If you are looking for a deck that will "easily" beat Paladin and Druid right now, it doesn't exist. If you want a Shaman deck to work and get you to Legend, I can assure you that after a ton of play-testing, this is the one!
Any deck can hit Legend, any player cannot, however. We have to improve through experience and sharing game knowledge with one another. I'll be streaming my climb to Legend Rank with this deck every Thursday and some Saturdays. I invite you to come watch, ask questions, make suggestions, and just have a good time. We will get there, together!
You're doing it wrong. You can't pick a class, play a couple of games, cross your fingers and reach Legend like that. Then come here and trash talk about something that you, apparently, don't know at all. The deck is good, it's working, I played it from Rank 15 to Rank 3 and if the season wasn't about to end, I'd probably hit Rank 1-2.
Shaman is hard class to play, only ~ 4% of the playerbase play it for a reason.
lol how do you know how many games I played? I STILL don't see how this deck could be considered "Easy Climb" at all. Even you admit that it's a hard class to play and only 4% of people play it.
Well I consider it's an easy climb deck for an experienced Shaman player. You're right I don't know how many games you played, but I also know you DIDN'T play enough. You know why ? Because this deck is working, it's also based on similar midrange decks that are working. I'll say it again Shaman is hard, you don't come on Hearthpwn, pick a deck you'd like to play and hope for the best. Maybe some Legend players can reach Legend and climb really really easily, but the average player will need at least 1000-1500 games to understand 90% of the mechanics... Just my opinion, everything is relative. Sorry if I was harsh.
Edit: Also you will have to swap some cards, depending on what you're facing the most. Shaman is like this, we're so much dependant on specific cards it's retarded.
Shaman will start to come back into the meta soon with the Undertaker nerf, as they generally excel against midrange decks who lose to rush. Shaman has a decent matchup against the current Paladin decks as well, more so than people realize. I've been playing around with DoomHammer, but don't find it to be as consistent as it should be. Without Rockbiter its bad, and against any kind of rush its terrible. I still like the current form of the deck. Dr. Balanced probably needs to be added back in, but I'm not sure.
Once again, I'll be streaming it on Thursday and giving tips and learning it with you guys. You are welcome to join us :)
the new changes feel un-needed, mana tide has won me games into the higher ranks. and neptulion is just as good as dr. boom, and kel just has horrible timing right now. the 7+ drops need to be able to do something on their own, and he just doesn't. I would say nep over kel.
Against priest, yes. Against most other classes KT is much better. Nep doesn't have instant board impact like KT. Dr. Boom is just blatantly overpowered right now, and nerfs should be incoming soon if Blizzard has a brain.
Mana Tide is good vs long matchups like Priest or warrior. If you feel like you are playing against lots of that then by all means, keep them in. I have been playing a lot of aggro, where Mana tide only draws you one card.
well, from being lazy I was down in the rank 17 area, and I brought myself all the way down to rank 7 on pretty much ONLY this deck. it worked wonderfully in my hands. I would have loved to use weapons, but that's just because I love the super value worth they offer, it would need a vitaility totem like my weapon shaman deck runs now. that liitle thing makes weapon shaman surprisingly unrelenting, as I just smash everything off the field with face hits and then hit them with mechs. this deck is decidedly something different.
That sounds really fun and I'll have to try it sometime. Thanks for the suggestion, and I'm glad this deck brought you success! :D
Nice changes, I was finding Defender of Argus a bit clunky lately...Piloted Shredder is such a good 4 drop it's a nice addition. Same feeling for Mana Tide Totem, I was only able to cycle 1 card at best with this stupid agressive meta... Keep up the good work !
Thank you. Shredder Syncs better with KT than Argus. Argus is still great against aggro though.
If you are interested in viewing this deck on stream (since I know there aren't many Shamans on stream right now) and having me answer questions for you guys could you upvote this comment? If there are enough people interested I'll post a streaming schedule here. I'd love to get involved with you guys through this deck. Thanks!
If you streamed it I think I'd be able to get used to it faster. That would be great!
