So i had been trying to get a solid control hunter list cause blizzard gave hunter some great control cards to hunter with gvg, and I think I finally found a nice list!

Deck explanation:

So let's talk about the card choices:

I don't run Gahz'rilla cause I prefer Dr. Boom as a 7 drop and i would need to get some activators for Gahz'rilla to make it work. Why not run pyromancer and hunters mark then?  Simply cause you need to add card draw for that since its using 2 cards.

So, those are some cards I dont like in this control hunter lets go on to what I DO like

2x Arcane Shot, can be used as burst and is great removal combined with Azure drake

2x Webspinner, Just an insane card that needs to be in every single hunter deck imo

1x Explosive Trap, sick card against aggro, it can also be used against other control decks when you set up for it. And its a +1 for Eaglehorn Bow

1x Feign Death, Targets: WebspinnerMad Scientist, piloted schredderSludge Belcher, Savannah Highmane, Sylvanas Windrunner and the boombots.

2x Freezing Trap, insane tempo swing and a +1 for Eaglehorn Bow

2x Steamwheedle Sniper, Mini auchenai that no one expects to come out turn 1/2

1x Ironbeak Owl, needed silence in the deck, and i like owl the most

2x Mad Scientist, just like in aggro/midrange this card gets insane value

2x Eaglehorn Bow, upgraded fiery war axe, great to remove some annoying minions or just to finish your opponent off.

2x Animal Companion, yes its random, but its also insane value.

1x Big Game Hunter, I run this over Deadly Shot cause its better against aggro (4/2 body) and most of the time you deadly shot something you can also BGH

 1x Multi-Shot, I like this as a one of, it can really swing games around (also good with Azure Drake)

1x Piloted Shredder, good with Feign Death and just a good card on its own

2x Sludge Belcher, good taunt wall against both aggro and control

1x Sylvanas Windrunner, INSANE with Feign Death and just good on its own, very good against late game control.

2x Savannah Highmane, best hunter card imo. 6/5 for 6 is not horrible andyou get 2 2/2's as well!

1x Dr. Boom, the card that gets play in almost every deck. Blizz Pls Nerf

1x Ragnaros the Firelord, good for burst or you can snipe a big minion of your opponent

Cards that are also possible in the deck: Haunted Creeper, Kill Command, Houndmaster, Gladiator's Longbow, Unleash the Hounds, Sneed's Old Shredder, Loot Hoarder, hunters mark, Loatheb, Piloted Sky Golem Bloodmage Thalnos, Antique Healbot (thalnos will probably be added once i have it).

Mulligan guide 

Aggro: Steamwheedle Sniper, Arcane ShotWebspinnerMad ScientistEaglehorn Bow and with coin Animal Companion. I also like Ironbeak Owl against zoo.

Handlock: Big Game HunterAnimal CompanionIronbeak Owl, Mad Scientist, Webspinner and Steamwheedle Sniper

Control Warrior: Animal Companion, Steamwheedle Sniper, Webspinner, Mad Scientist, Piloted Shredder Eaglehorn Bow and Savannah Highmane (if you already have early game)

Druid: Animal Companion, Steamwheedle Sniper, Webspinner, Mad Scientist, Piloted Shredder, Savannah Highmane (if you already have early game) and you can consider Multi-Shot to kill shades

Priest: Animal Companion, Steamwheedle SniperMad Scientist, Piloted ShredderEaglehorn Bow

 How do you play against aggro? (under construction)

As you may have noticed: this deck struggles against faster decks. There are some things you can change to make the deck better against the more aggresive decks and you will need to change your usual playstyle. 

Stop the rambling and tell me what to do!

Some cards that would improve the aggro matchups are: 2nd Explosive Trap, Haunted Creeper, Mind Control Tech and Unleash the Hounds. These cards are very good against low health minions, wich aggro runs. some cards you can drop for those are: Multi-Shot, Sylvanas Windrunner and Big Game Hunter.

The main problem we have is that this deck doesnt have a lot of comback mechanisms, so if a zoo swarms the board with cheap minions theres not a lot that can save you. 

So what to do?

1. Don't forget you still have a hero power that pushes for face damage, even this version of hunter can burst. So per example: You are playing against a zoo, you have 5 health left. You know he didnt play a Doomguard yet and the zoo is topdecking but he still has a few minions on the board. you have a Misha and some other minions. Theres the option to trade of course, but you are able to kill him in 2 turns if you go face. In that case you should always go face, so zoo will need to topdeck that 1 card in 2 draws. You'd be suprised how many times a situation like this comes up.

2. Don't be greedy with cards like Feign Death or Steamwheedle Sniper, it's very tempting to save feign death for something like Savannah Highmane or Sylvanas Windrunner, but against aggro you need to be happy with getting a secret of Mad Scientist. Don't save Steamwheedle Sniper till turn 4 so you are able to hero power and play it. It's almost always right to just play it turn 2 to trade with something like a flame imp.
