Hello guys just hit #1 legend on both NA and EU with this deck
proof: http://imgur.com/QLaQbK4,wBtBe1d
frequently asked questions:
why 2 whirlwind?
right now the aggro decks run leaper gnome and clockwork gnome which makes whirlwind extremly valuable. Also muster for battle is staple for paladin now and lots of divine shields makes it even stronger. Also can be combined with 2 armorsmith for infinite armor and comboed with baron geddon and obviously acolyte of pain.
why dr boom?
Best neutral legendary gvg has to offer 9/9 + 2 darkbomb in one card.
why no gorehowl with that much lifegain?
I prefer geddon instead as a 7 drop its better against aggro and since I run 2 whirlwind. Also we get less vurnable to harrison jones
Why no loatheb?
We run harrison instead. I stole the idea from the second warrior god kitkatz. Miracle druid and miracle is pretty non existant atm so loatheb loses value. we need 3 5drops and a 5/4 compared to 5/5 is not that much of diffrence.
Subs for legendary cards. Grommash is the only real necesesity rest can be subbed for legendarys or high casting creatures with equal casting cost or gorehowl. if you dont have harrison I recommend loatheb. if you dont have alex or ysera play another big bomb not necesarry a 9 casting cost legendary.
Crafting legendar prioritys:
1. Grommash
2. dr boom (best neutral legendary and works in every deck pretty much)
3. sylvanas (its a very strong legendary and works in other decks)
4. rag ( same reason as sylvanas)
5. alexstraza
Decks and metas changes constantly but theese 4 has always been staples in warrior control.
Cards like geddon, harrison, faceless, gorehowl, troggzor, blackknight, loatheb etc are good/bad depending on the meta or what you aiming to beat.
Strong mu's:
Priest, hunter, handlock, shaman, paladin
weaker mu's:
mech mage, zoo, double combo druid but they are still about 50%
Mulligan guide top3 cards to look for:
mage: 1. fiery waraxe 2. armorsmith(keep cruel if you have coin+armosmith then coin armosmith into cruel) 3. acolyte 4. deathbite
warlock zoo: 1 fiery waraxe 2 deathbite 3 armorsmith 4 cruel
warlock handlock: 1 bgh 2 execute 3 acolyte 4 shieldslam
druid: 1 fiery waraxe 2 execute (for innervated stuff if you have cruel aswell, keep cruel otherwise not) 3 acolyte
rogue: 1 fiery waraxe 2. armorsmith 3. acolyte 4. deathbite
warrior: 1 fiery waraxe 2 deathbite 3 acolyte hard mull for theese 3 cards
priest: 1 fiery waraxe 2 deathbite 3 acolyte 4 execute hard mull for all except execute
paladin: 1 acolyte 2 armorsmith 3 fiery waraxe 4 whirlwind/deathbite
hunter: 1 fiery waraxe 2 cruel 3 armorsmith 4 deathbite
shaman: 1 fiery waraxe 2 armorsmith 3 acolyte 4 deathbite
Theres some things to keep togheter in some cases like shieldblock + shieldslam, armorsmith + cruel but if you are unsure usually just look for fiery waraxe, armorsmith, deathbite and u should be fine

Latest update:
-1 shieldblock
+1 brawl
This update allows us to have 2x whirlwind and brawl without cutting any threaths.
nowadays u usually just turn 3 cycle shieldblock. A turn 3 heropower is just 3 less armor not a big deal. And having just one shieldblock allows us to win fatigue war more.
If you have met more Druid or Mage, you can replace harrison with Lotheb
After I played a bit with this exact deck, it's pretty strong. BUT, I also can conclude some things.
This is very "sensible" : if you don't draw a mix of armor regain and strong minion / weapon response in the course of any game, you're screwed either by aggro heavy decks (they are plenty currently : mech mage, hunter, zoo lock...) IF they draw "quite well" by having not enough armor / life OR by fatigue decks by having too much armor and not enough face damage to oponent.
In fact, it's likely you'll have to fight your way to the ladder a lonnnng time playing with statistics even if you're playing well. It's not rare that I don't draw Alexstraza's before dying, any armor up (maiden etc.) before dying, armorsmith or weapon before turn 10 ! (lol) ... It's quite embarassing sometimes.
it takes some experience to make handlock a favorable matchup. the general rule is, don't get him in molten giants range if you don't have the removal in your hand ready.
What's the best way to deal with a Tirion Fordring?
This card always gives me headache and throws me back far too much.
Maybe [card]Sylvanas Windrunner[/card]? Together with Shield Block + Shield Slam?
I just replace 1 Whirlwind with a Black Knight. Not bacause of Tirion, but a have a couple of times when Tirion was crashed by BK, it feels sooo damn good)
I use an owl in the deck for Sylvannas but could be useful for Tirion too.
I wanna squeeze a TBK in here, what do I replace? cant decide
hey all, I haven't been playing hearthstone very long at all, I have the above decklist in it's entirety and im only missing one card. I was just wondering what a good temp replacement for barron geddon would be? I won't be able to craft him for a week or 2, and it seems the match-ups im getting I could really use him. any suggestions for something with a good effect or something similar? thanks everyone
Use a azure drake
It doesn't have the same impact as Baron Geddon, but I use unstable ghoul in my warrior. It helps as an early game board clear against hunter and zoo, and can also be used later in the game to help trigger Grom or your acolyte of pain, or could be used to get an enemy damaged so that you can execute with out wasting a stronger body.
Thanks mate for this deck!
Warrior is my favorite one to play...but since GvG I really struggled...especially with my control Warrior...got beaten at any level....I just played 5-0 with this and at least it I feel a bit more confident about beating someone again :) It is quite flexible and offers enough solutions and sustainability (at least if your card draw is alright) to face even very aggresive decks.
I substituted Baron for Gorehowl..I think both of them have their advantages.
Great deck!
VICTORY OR DEATH
Doesn't work as good anymore.
how vital is rag in this deck ive been playing warrior control and never come to enchanting it and i still do fine, how much do i need the card, how much will it help?
Presonally not a fan of Baron Geddon and Harrison Jones, in my version of this deck i play Loatheb, and Iron Juggernaut, I think a lot of people underestimates this card, a lot of decks has massive search engine's so it's not that hard to trigger the explosive card :) and for a creature 6/5 + 10 possible damage for 6 mana in my opinion worth holding, especially that warrior control usually stalls the game enough long to see the results :)
I really like this deck, missing a few cards though so what should i craft first. Brawl, shield slam or BGH?
id say either slam or BGH as slam is a necessity in the deck as it clears minions, but also BGH for the same reasons and it can be used it other decks, imo brawl is the least important out of those 3 cards
This is one of the best decks in the meta right now, especially at higher ranks. I dropped one WW for TBK. He's great in the low teens, where I'm at rank wise right now. Good luck guys
Harrison is replaced by loatheb usually, and crush imo is just a bad execute even when it only costs 3. The previous version of this deck used shield block instead of brawl, so that works too, and I think gorehowl should be pretty fine as well.
Honestly, against the current meta this deck is really strong. I wouldn't cut Brawl, it's a very useful card but you have to use it at the right time, a bad use of Brawl will lose you a game a lot of the times.
Zoo is a difficult match-up for this deck, because you need the right starting hand containing your axes, armorsmiths, whirlwinds etc. in order to keep up with their early game pressure (Zoo can make you fall behind easily, same with all the mech mage decks running around lately). Hunters can be similar, but some advice I can give you with hunters is to be patient, don't just play anything because you feel like you have to, or feel that if you don't have something on board you're in danger, because patience and good decisions is what wins against aggro.
Control warrior is in my opinion a difficult deck to master, even though it is easy to play. You have to make the best possible decisions you possibly can, all the time. But because of this, it makes control warrior capable of competing with most other decks out there.
A last piece of advice I can give you is, in TCG's there is always an Aggressor and a Defender. Your deck by its nature starts you out as the defender in almost every game. Sometimes, when you start gaining momentum you can lose perspective of that and you might start playing as the aggressor when you should still be defending, this misperception will just straight up make you lose games, because you'll over-extend at all the incorrect times.
