This is one of the first decks I've put on here so be nice... ANY suggestions or ideas to improve it (or in general) would be helpful. If you think its absolute shit then i'm sorry I cant help you, it's been fun for me..
I have done pretty well with this deck from 20-10, i'm not sure how it will do higher up because i'm not there yet. Will edit when I get there.
But the main idea is to out-control your enemy. Buff dragons you get from Bronze Herald with Dragon Speaker. (hopefully) Mulligan for High Priest Thekal and Bronze Herald, but if not there are other cards like Firetree Witch Doctor, Swamp Dragon Egg and Call To Adventure that will work out in your starting hand. There are also plenty of dragons so rarely should you have to worry about not getting Firetree Witchdoctor's Battlecry off. The rest kind of speaks for itself from there.
Lots of synergys with Zilliax, Nozari and Lightforged Blessing to sustain your health.
I believe the deck could use more removal but you can also get more from Firetree as well as more health sustain if needed.
I hope you find the deck enjoyable!
looks cool, but it‘s bad. this dragon stuff doesn‘t work for paladin. maybe it will after the support it‘s getting from saviours of uldum. oh wait....
Yeh this deck needs Truesilver Champion generally great all purpose Paladin card, I'd probably remove Swamp Dragon Egg and whilst we're at it, remove Blessing of Might these cards are fairly low impact and don't help the gameplan. For the Blessing of Mights consider adding another copy of Consecration and another Equality OR Shrink Ray OR Big Game Hunter, if you wanna move up ladder you're going have to have some answers to Mountain Giant.
Maybe I'm the dumbest in the world, but 0-8 in a row vs mage, rogue, hunter and warrior on 10 rank.
Well, that’s because the current dragon package in standard isn’t fast enough to be a better option than Mechs.
As has been said, the best Dragon decks are played in Wild. And in my opinion Priest and Warrior have the better overall packages due to better removal choices over Paladin.
yea definately needs 2 equality plus the sub for Pyromancer just to have a slight chance against mage. safeguard isnt gonna do a thing against all the giants
Truesilver Champion is always good removal for Paladin. Dragonmaw Scorcher could be another removal option to fit with Equality.
Swamp Dragon Egg and Blessing of Might seem a bit sketchy to me. Call to Adventure doesn't look like you're trying to find anything in particular, so I'm not sure how strong that is either.
how aboutNozari+alexstrazsa so You heal up and then set your oppo to 15 Health
seems interesting also im not so sure about Swamp Dragon Egg
There are so many cards in this deck that boost attack... It's a great add, easy 1 Drop 3/6.
I agree, it's a bad choice. If you draw it without Call to Adventure then you have to rely on finding a Blessing of Might (which otherwise seems unsuited to this deck).
I don't think elysiana is autoinclude in control decks anymore as much as people whine and complain about control warrior on here you rarely see them anymore, now it's more cylcone mage token druid and aggro shaman imo
Personally I would swap out the Dragon Speakers for Glowstone Technician so you can buff all minions rather than just Dragons. For removal, you might consider dropping Ysera and Elysiana for Crowd Roaster.
Currently, the Mech package Pally offers is a lot more consistent. If you like dragons, consider running Dragon Priest in Wild. Very consistent, with good early drops, cheap removal, and aggro control capability.
Or Dragon Control Shaman, also very fun. Not as good as regular Control Shammy, but a lot of fun.
I've done exactly that (Glowstone for Dragon speakers) and had great success so far.
Wrt the deck overall, is there enough healing in this to really make Thekal worth it? I've only played 10 games so far and never once really used Thekal.
