Combos:
- Hobgoblin + Warsong Commander + 2x Angry Chicken + Whirlwind effect = 8 mana -> 18 Damages
- Hobgoblin + Warsong Commander + 2x Young Dragonhawk + Cruel / Inner Rage = 8-10 mana -> 22 damages
There are other possible mixes also.
Hobgoblin synergizes well with Acolyte and Armorsmith also.
I like it, but I wonder if Maybe going more for an agressive style deck with Warbots, Jeeves, Explosive Ghouls and Annoyotrons wold be more consistent.
All four also benefit from the HobGoblin, and the Warsong Commander, Jeeves gives strong card draw and the Warbot Provides a very strong 1 drop even without the Goblin.
If you replace the Chickens, and Hawks with Warbots and Annoyotrons, and Inventors with Jeeves then you have even more targets for Goblin, 6 very strong solid early game drops. I would drop one inner rage and one whirlwinde for Explosive Ghouls as well since it acomplishes mostly the same benefit while also giving yet another solid target for the Goblin. A turn 4 Goblin + Ghoul or Warbot is still a strong play while turn 4 chicken or hawk is much less likley to survie long enough to strike. Turn 5 Goblin,Ghoul,Warbot would be very strong as well.
5 Mana for a 2/3, a 3/5 with enrage and a 3/5 with taunt and whirlwind deathrattle! Thats a very strong turn. Most importantly None of these cards leave you screwed if you start the game with them. Turn 1 hawk or chicken is just a wasted play in almost all situations. But a ghoul or warbot still gives you a strong start.
Anyway, fun deck and we are all just guessing at this point since no one can predict what the meta will look like on monday. Thanks for the cool deck.
That's another style for sure, but I wanted to get max value with hobgoblin in a single turn :)
Like the concept a lot but to be more consistent i'm thinking it needs more draw. Similar to OTK w/ the 3/3 enrage. That deck currently runs gadgetzan but its being nerfed. So maybe more cycle is needed? unsure but there is possibilities for this kind of archetype. Reminds me of magic white weenie decks.
With this deck you can draw a minimum of 8 cards, but if you buff Acolytes with Hobgoblin, you can draw some more if you need.
I only count 6, unless your counting acolyte for double
I counted Acolyte for double draw, yes. Maybe we should round to 7 cards.
I was thinking about this kind of deck myself :) Looking forward to GvG!
cool deck man, great work!
