Any suggestions post on the comments!
[VERY IMPORTANT] I will stream some games right now! Tune in and enjoy!
After reading some suggestions on the comments I decided to make some changes!
The deck will now have +6heal with farseer so we can tap more! Removed sense demons cause it would be a dead card as people said and put imp-losion, with that we gain more removal and more demons so mal'ganis can buff them. And last but not least, a second defender of argus for more control and works well with imp-losion! As usual, any suggestions post on comments!
Second edit: Put a demonheart insted of P.O. Why? Well demonheart is a more control oriented card than P.O. and the buff that gives is permanent and doesnt kill our creature and we can still deal 5 damage to an enemy creature!
Third edit: As I saw on the comments, people were complaining about doomguard and shadowflame and they have some reason! So I switched a shadowflame for hellfire, with this trade you gain a more consistent removal plus you give 3more damage to the face and can boost your floating watcher! Finally replaced the doomguard for a dread infernal. Why? If you dont summon the doomguard via voidcaller the fact you need to discard 2 cards is just too much value lost, with dread infernal you will have another aoe removal (a small one though) and just as hellfire it can boost your floating watcher! With these changes I assume the deck will be more consistent with more active cards and you can have a solution right away!
4th Edit
Just played a couple of games and the deck seems consistent, you have answer for almost everything and the feel to drop a mal'ganis via voidcaller is too damn good! I will keep spamming this deck and learn the ways of DEMONLOCK! I will post my stream here tomorrow so be ready to tune in! DEMONLOCK 4EVER \m/
5th and final (prolly) edit
I guess I found the perfect demonlock deck! Just made like 10 games won about 7 or 8 games, very consistent aggainst all things! Make sure you leave your opinion in the comments!
General Mulligan tips:
- You always wanna mulligan for your ealry drops, so try to keep a Darkbomb, Voidwalker, Mistress of Pain, Demonfire (turn 2 mistress + demonfire is very strong).
- If you have Mal'Ganis plus a Voidcaller in your opening hand you can risk and stay with that hand and try to search for early game drops, if you are lucky enough you will have Mal'Ganis sooner than you expected!
- All the other cards except the ones I mentioned here and in the aggro section can go away!
- Against control just mulligan for early drops as well, except if you are playing against mage you can keep Loatheb!
Vs Aggro Mulligan
- You can keep a Hellfire.
- If you are playing against deathrattle deck Lil' Exorcist is a must keep!
- Sludge Belcher is good as well!
Hard Matchups:
- Control Warrior;
- Freeze Mage;
- Handlock;
Good Matchups:
- Pretty much the rest!
Cheers to Lazix for helping me out doing the mulligans!
This deck beating zetalot's priest:
P.S. Thanks for all the love you guys are giving to this deck! Thank you guys! <3
Best Demonlock so far, and I tried like 5 or 6. If u learn how to play it Works really well. Just replaced the Floating for Sylvanas and the taunts for Sunfury Protector
Thanks
Based on your highly appreciated advice, I tried a Dread Infernal in my Mal´Ganis demonlock deck and it provides great value for me. I have completely abandoned Floating Watcher though. The card never seemed to be a great help.
I am also running 1 PO. In theory, it should synergize greatly with Imp´Losion and Shadowflame, Sylvanas Windrunner... but in practice, it is more often a dead card than not for me in this deck. Not sure why, but I am considering taking it out.
Still have not tried the Lil Exorcist. might be my next variation (although, I just have one yet).
I run a similar deck but keeping Drakes from Handlock and adding in some chows. Amazing fun and now I have got to grips with it, steadily climbing the ladder. Mistress of Pain is an amazing card, when buffed with Demonheart or Power Overwhelming she becomes a healbot with more punch, and hard removal bait to boot.
This deck is garbage, can't fight it's way out of rank 20. When you go against face rushing hunters, or zoolocks, or even combo druids. You will lose, you can not win.
Biggest waste of dust ever, I regret so much.
Maybe you should learn how to play the game first, before calling a well made deck garbage.
Not exceeding rank 20(!) with this deck is not the fault of the deck but lack of skill. Sorry to be blunt.
Thanks Moti0nz for the great deck and writeup! I did some play testing and found Crazed Alchemist to be quite useful because it works well with Shadowflame, Jaraxxus (imagine if he was on the board and you made him a 15/3 - not many people expect CA in this deck), and also to "heal" Mal'Ganis (you can see in the video below).
Dude, i know you're happy with your deck and everything. But dont man. dont run this.
I mean, The curve its pretty weak, the crafting cost is too high for such a slow deck.
Using one card of everything it makes the game really so-so, and pretty random.
Run Doomguard, Implosion is a dead card, mostly in this meta with A LOT of 1 dmg removals.
Dont run voidcaller with 4 demons. If you swithc voidwalker for voidcaller in the deathrattle, you pretty fuck up. If you run Floating watcher, run Flame Imp. That will make the deck faster, and its not a dead card in mid with floating (turn 6 or 7).
And you force your oponent to use big removals on that, instead of droping malgannis on turn 5 and then, execute, siphon soul, polymorph, hex, etc etc etc etc etc etc.
Its a pretty nice deck yeah, for rank 15. But try to tight up a lil bit the curve instead of using "nice cards" .
I fuckin love this deck! First time i've been able to keep goin with a deck for over 100+ matches without switching..
the only thing i swith between is sylvanas for dr.boom and lil'exorcist for deathlord..
I would be super stoked too see some more guiding and info overall,
demonlock4life
This deck is horribly slow... mid range and aggro tear it apart, with little to no effort... had a few control fdeacks that i took the distance but by and large turn 4-7 losses are the norm
Lil' Exorcist - I feel bites me in the rear a lot. I swapped it with Shadow Bolt
I know there are a tun of DR cards now. But turn 3 I feel better if I got a bolt in my hand.
I'm at 11 now, not great, I know, but for a noob like me it's pretty good. :)
I usually used to sit at 15'ish, with my highest being 13, with my Paladin.
Scratch that, Mal'Ganis just struck the final blow against a Druid to make me rank 10. :D
Demonlock has breathed life into my love for Hearthstone again. :D
Rank 4 atm
Just got a golden Jaraxxus to add to this deck, I am loving the golden INFERNOS! xD
But so far this has carried me a long way, easily 3 or so ranks further than I've made it before.
The only matchup that I constantly flop against is Druid...As soon as my health dips reasonably low Force of Nature/Savage Roar roflstomps me, it's getting rather irritating... >:(
I really want to fit Bloodmage Thalnos in here somehow. So many spells in here that would love the Spell Damage for extra control and more Imps!
The question is what to drop. Did you ever experiment with him? The reasonable choice to replace with him might be Power Overwhelming, but that card has saved me so many times in activating Voidcaller or giving me that extra health with Mistress of Pain. Another choice may be Voidwalker though I love that 1-drop target for Demonfire.
I'll try replacing Voidwalker and see how it goes.
I do now yet have enough dust to craft mal'ganis and jarraxus which should I craft first what could replace them until then?
any help would be greatly aprreciated
just run handlock if you dont have malganis
I'm having fun and winning games with this deck. Getting Lil' Exorcist early is key as many decks run deathrattle, as both successful naxx decks do and many of the new mechs with their spare parts.
Good deck
