Freeze Shaman is here. This is not a drill: freeze shaman is here.
I'm excited to present Kiwiinbacon's showcase of my deck! Check out his other sweet deck showcases on his youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/CanadianRumPunch
Edit 3: I JUST PLAYED THE MIRROR MATCH ON LADDER! This is surreal - I queued the deck up and found myself as King Rastakhan vs. King Rastakhan. When he played plated beetle I thought 'surely not'... then he played Ice Cream Peddler and Hyldnir Frostrider.
Trielix beat me at my own deck but it was a blast!
I spectated his next game where he gained 124 armour and dealt 58 damage in one turn to a kingsbane rogue. Thanks for showing the deck off so well!

Write-up
NOTE: this is my write up from the initial version of the deck. It has gone through substantial changes since then, but I'll leave it here in case I feel like updating it to reflect the newest version at some point.
This deck revolves around Shudderwock utilising Ice Cream Peddler's battlecry to gain effectively infinite armour in the very late game, while shuffling an endless supply of Corrupted Blood in to the opponent's deck via Hakkar, the Soulflayer + Da Undatakah. Here's how the deck works in detail:
- The deck mostly functions like a normal Shudderwock deck with a game plan of controlling the board and getting your battlecry effects off. Most Shudderwock lists have a little more card draw than this deck, so Mana Tide Totem is essential to find ASAP.
- The deck runs DOUBLE Cryostasis, so that your Ice Cream Peddler can get value pre-Shudderwock. It was quite a struggle finding ways of making this card playable, and I initially had one Wax Elemental to up the consistency of having an excellent target for Cryostasis, but had to cut it. Cryostasis is much more effective when played on a taunt, and so Belligerent Gnome is a great target for it and naturally suits Shudderwock Shaman's control game plan. There is also the possibility in the late game for Zentimo + Rain of Toads + Cryostasis to provide you with massive stall potential. Even playing this same combo but with Saronite Chain Gang allows you a large amount of stall. Mana Tide Totem is naturally 0-attack and as a high-value card has soft taunt, and so it also makes a great Cryostasis target as it would never have been able to attack the following turn anyway.
- Hyldnir Frostrider is essential to the Shudderwock battlecry, because this allows Shudderwock to freeze the copies of itself (hopefully) before either of the Ice Cream Peddler battlecries go off, and thereby gain at least 8 armour per Shudderwock played. Of course this gives you no board pressure on your next turn, but if you play enough Shudderwocks in a turn then Glacial Shard should ensure that your opponent has no board pressure either.
- The deck has three specific Deathrattle minions only: Plated Beetle, Rotten Applebaum, and Hakkar, the Soulflayer. This is so that Da Undatakah (and then Shudderwock) guarantees gaining these three deathrattles exactly. This is so that later, whenever your Shudderwocks die, you will gain armour and restore health (the point of which is to enable you to survive turns in which you draw multiple Corrupted Bloods), and also shuffle more Corrupted Bloods into each deck. Note that you can play Undatakah whenever you like (e.g. before any deathrattles have gone off), because as long as the deathrattle minions have died when you play Shudderwock, the effect will then work. Note also that whenever your Shudderwocks die because they are returned to your hand when it is full, their deathrattles will go off, so activating your deathrattles is a lot easier than it may at first appear.
The result of all of this is that if you manage to survive until the very late game (and this is quite a big if), you will eventually be in a position where each turn you can play a full board of shudderwocks, gain a million armour, heal to full, and make your opponent kill themselves by drawing Corrupted Blood.
And you do all of this with FREEZE SHAMAN ... (sort of).
I'm really excited to see if there's any way this deck can work. Please suggest any refinements you think I could make as I'm sure the deck needs it.
Thanks!
Damn, this deck was so much fun to play. Was hoping to post this once I hit legend but got my ass slammed by the nerf hammer! Got this deck from Rank 5 to 1 before the nerf.
Dropped a few now that I'm testing other decks lol. Getting near legend with this was probably more of a testament to the power of Shudderwock then Ice Cream Shudderwock, which is why Shudderwock is dead... Here was my list:
I ran mojomaster for a while, but I think I ran into 1 mecha'thun the entire climb, and she fucked with the combo quite a bit if grumble failed. Zentimo was great, I actually ran tidal surge instead of MCT, cause MCT was only good for maybe saving me from deathrattle hunter completely running me over, tidalsurge acted as a 3rd huge heal, really good against keleseth or kingsbane rogue and odd pally (rest in pieces those decks too)
I usually dont post like this, but I had so much fun with this deck and surprisingly good results. Figured Id leave this as a goodbye to my favorite and most short lived deck I've ever played in this game.
Ill be seeing you guys around Rank 5 playing tempo freeze shaman for now ;)
Huge props again to OP, took a card that seemed unusable and made it core in a competitive deck.
Deck no longer works as Saronite Chain Gang no longer summon's 'itself' but a 'Saronite Chain Gang'
Can't say I'm sad Infinite Shudder is gone. But this deck was fun.
missing zola keleseth ziliax + 2x ice cream peddler and 2x seaforium bomber, so prob i will comeback muuch later when i will try to have them all, seems fun, gl with it
Playing a little different version, but the concept is quite similar. I'm using Star Aligner because it's just more fun than Seaforium Bombers or Lifedrinkers.

Thank you for the original idea :) Disguised Toast's video brought me here.
Use Elise the Trailblazer to go infinite deck
This deck is Infinitely Fun! Really appreciate this upload. If I may make one suggestion, find room in this deck for Mojomaster Zihi. You will start dominating against exodia match-ups that you otherwise have no business winning because they'll never be able to reach 10 mana. Also slows down games when you need just a few more turns of draw. Good in the mirror if you get your shudderwock off first
Thank you for the nice comment :)
Excellent suggestion - actually from day 1 of this deck I had in mind Zihi because when your Shudderwock costs 1, only having 5 mana per turn doesn’t really matter, and as you say it really locks the opponent out. I’ve never made room for it because it has seemed non-essential - if I was going to make any cuts, my first instinct would be to add more healing, stall, or draw, all of which the deck would benefit from. But perhaps I will make the change you sugggest if only because it would be cool lol, and as you say would actually work wonders against otk/combo/even just control decks.
This deck is no joke. When the combos are pulled off, its GG for sure. My issue I am running into is not getting the cards fast enough.
Yeah it can be really problematic if you don't draw any draw tools. I would say if you feel like you need more draw, you could safely cut 1 Bomber for another good draw card (i.e. far sight or a second acolyte of pain, as you already have 2 mana tide totems). Beyond that I would not be too keen to cut anything else, but I would say the cards you can most afford to lose after 1x bomber (depending on the matchup of course) are 1x Hex and if you're desperate, 1x Tar Creeper. However the tar creeper is so essential as an anti-aggro tool that I think you'll real feel the absence of it against any fast deck. Another thing you could try is cutting 1 or 2 each of the armour combo activators (Frostrider and Ice Cream) if you don't really care about the combo, in which case you're pretty much playing standard shudderwock but with a slight chance for some ice cream goodness if you happen to draw it. That would give you all the room you could want for more draw and for things like a second Healing Rain or second Tar Creeper.
Hope that helps :)
This deck looks so much fun but I miss 6 cards incl 3 legendaries so probably try something else...
Which are you missing? Unless they're essential, I can try and recommend a budget version based on what you're missing. I have noticed too that the deck has ended up very expensive in its latest version :L
I'm afraid I am missing important cards - Zola, Al Akir, Zilliax and about 3 epic cards.. unfortunately last time I checked your deck was V2 and I crafted Undatakah so wasted 1600
Having a rough time with this deck. This can be very strong but I am just so confused.... I mean I only have 80 wins with a shaman (every other hero is Gold)
So who knows....
As I was discussing below in another comment, the deck is surprisingly strong as a tempo deck. Try mulliganing for keleseth (obviously), frostrider (turn 3 4/4 is actually quite powerful), corpsetaker (divine shield windfury on turn 4 is very strong), chain gangs, but also card draw. Grumble is usually very good on turn 6 as well - again in terms of tempo a 6 mana 7/7 is just pretty good, but if you even get one chain gang bounced it's suddenly very good. This all obviously depends on the matchup, so against zoo for example you'll probably want to mulligan for taunts and board clears. The deck honestly usually works better initially if you try to play it as a tempo deck. This lets you compete on board (and sometimes just win with board pressure), which in turn gives you the breathing room to set up the combo - that is if you even need to. Thanks for the comment :)
Only if it's an exodia win condition. This deck is pretty much built to counter purely damaging OTKs because you get infinite armour, lol.
Also in my quite large experience of the meta so far it's nowhere remotely close to that percentage OTK. Most people are finding that it's a ton of spell hunters, quite a few odd mages, zoolock, odd paladin, and some odd warrior and quest priest.
Thanks for the comment though!
No way to win. 0:6. No Deck in the Meta can you Beat with this
What do you think Seaforium Bomber does? Otherwise the deck works quite well as a tempo deck so often you can win with board pressure if they are not super control-heavy (and if they are, that means you'll have time to set up your combo).
So far this deck feels strictly worse than old Shudderwock Shaman in the current meta. I went straight from rank3 to rank5 with it, 0 wins and never was even close to complete the combo.
I never claimed it is supposed to be better - it's mainly for fun but also does hold its own (in my experience with my latest version). Sorry you haven't had a good experience though. I've been saying this to a couple of people now - try playing it as a tempo deck, mulliganing for keleseth and your midrange minions (but not ice cream peddler). It's surprising how often you can compete with and win the board on the back of turn 3 frostrider, turn 4 chain gang/corpsetaker.
