Awesome deck, how crucial is benedictus? I have everything except him, what could you sub for him if he is sub-ablein the deck? Thanks!

Most of the time Benedictus is a bonus card that you would play when your opponent has 10 or less cards left in his deck. However, it is a key card in some matchups (e.g.: Odd Warrior, Control Mage). I believe these 2 matchups are not really present in the current meta so you could replace Benedictus with Elise the Trailblazer if you have it.

It seems tough to counter this deck because you are not reliant on a specific combo. Most cards are good to play at any time so you always have pressure.

Yeah, this deck is a pure control deck with cards allowing you to deal with pretty much any situations. It's been doing amazing for me against aggro decks, warriors, warlocks, etc... Only bad matchups are decks like quest rogues, kingsbane rogues, etc...

The only deck I had an issue with so far was an Elemental Mage player I played against twice in a row. No problems until Jaina comes out. I did much better on the second go when I played Benedictus early to steal my own Jaina. I made a few miscalculations on the Hero Power though :)

Geist is hilarious in the current meta. Especially Warrior with Omega Assembly.

Control mage is definitely a tough matchup. You did good playing Benedictus early during the second game.

I think there are only 2 matchups where I would play Benedictus asap: Control mage and Odd warrior. Against all the other matchups I usually play it when they have around 10 - 6 cards left.

Deathrattle hunters can also be a tough matchup as it is easy to deal with their minions but really tough to out-value Deathstalker Rexarr.

The deck is ridiculous! Just went from 5 to 2 rank. I only switched cobalt dragon to shadow visions

Glad the deck works out well for you! I try to keep the `steal` synergy that is just so good in the current meta (with Twilight Acolyte and Cabal Shadow Priest + the 2 Mind Control + Shadow Madness).

I guess adding a shadow visions might allow you to make things more flexible as you could pick another Mind Control/Shadow Madness or Divine Hymn depending on your matchups.

I usually play Benedictus when my opponent only has 10 cards left. However I play it turn 7 against Warriors as it is just too good.

Interesting decklist. I've played similar lists in the past...could you post a write up / mulligan guide and briefly discuss how the deck performs against some of the common match ups?

Also: You don't use shadow visions??

Hey Pietripeter. I'm currently at work but will take time to write a guide once back home. I am currently ranked 980 legend (climbing only with this deck so far).

I thought of adding a shadow visions a while ago but haven't done it. I've been tweaking the deck and feel like all the current cards are important, so I couldn't pick one to remove.

Now that I am legend, I have updated the deck to 2 Psychic Scream/card] and 2 [card]Divine Hymn. I removed Shadow Madness and the Cobalt Scalebane. I might keep tweaking it based on the matchups I face.
