Pageturner's Star Aligner Priest

"The Stars Align" ~ Star Aligner, I think.

Disclaimer: This is a meme deck I made that I wanted to share for people who play less competitively. This is nothing more than just a fun deck.

How To Play:

The goal of the deck is to maintain a decent board and try to pop the effect of the almighty Star Aligner. This is made for when you need a break from that ladder and you want to trigger your opponent with a card that sees zero play in Standard. It's not meant for ranked. If you can manage to activate the effect, I guarantee you, you will make your opponent spam "Wow" until they concede. Hit that jackpot with a 7/7/7 combo and restore your faith in Hearthstone once more! I have a blast playing it and I hope you do to.

Start with the smaller minions and allow cards like Nesting Roc, Dead Ringer and Injured Blademaster to die early. Let them absorb the damage. This will become useful to you when you resurrect these cards later in the game. As the game progress, start to get a feel for what's on the board, what's in your hand, and what's dead. If you don't see a way to get the combo off, control the board with Mossy Horror, Shadow Word: Death, and Shadow Word: Pain. A good way to get value off of your cards is by using Shadow Visions to get Lesser Diamond Spellstone. Cast spells, upgrade it, and make the combo easier. Activate that sweet, sweet effect of Star Aligner and win the game*!

*Might not always win you the game, but hey, it's a meme.

Mulligan Guide:

Against Aggro: Mossy Horror and other removal.

Anything Else: Dead Ringer, Shadow Visions, and Northshire Cleric.

Feeling Bored?: Lady in White

Card Reasoning:

Injured Blademaster – An efficient way to get a 7-health minion on the board. You can heal it up or resurrect it, which offers you the most value. It’s a way to get a good early game for a deck that lacks in that area. Two of these guys and a Divine Hymn set up the Star Aligner combo easily.

Mechanical Whelp – One of the best cards in the deck. This allows you to to pace yourself in setting up your combo. What are they gonna do? Pop the Deathrattle? Of course not! They don’t wanna deal with a 7/7! But, when the time is right, you run this into a minion and play that Star Aligner. Was the opponent expecting it? OF COURSE NOT. YOU’RE PLAYING STAR ALIGNER PRIEST!

Carnivorous Cube – What better way to set-up this ridiculous combo than to create two of the same minion? Not only can this summon two seven health minions, but it offers pretty great value when eating a Mechanical Whelp. Doing that gives you a 7/7, a 4/6, and two MORE Mechanical Whelps upon death. That leaves you with another opportunity to make the stars align.

Nesting Roc – Considering your goal is to already have at least two minions on the field, it kinda makes sense to use this card if you’re on a budget. It’s really not as bad as you think. Getting the Taunt off makes it a bit easier to set up a fair combo. It's also durable, which gives you more of an opportunity to eat it with a Cube.

Mossy Horror – This deck isn’t to great against aggressive decks so make sure that you destroy every last Silver Hand Recruit as Mossy Horror laughs in their putrid faces. He also sets up the combo.

Northshire Cleric – Your typical Priest card draw. Use them early for card draw. Duh.

Power Word: Shield – Not only is it good for card draw, but you can use this in order to get your minions to 7 health.  Attack, heal, and do whatever you need to do to finagle their health to 7.

Dead Ringer – A decent body to have at the beginning of the game. But, more importantly, this tutors to your combo pieces. It can draw Mechanical Whelp, Carnivorous Cube, and your second Dead Ringer; all of which are vital.

Divine Hymn – This is the ultimate reset button. It keeps you in the game, keeps your minions in the game, and will become a full heal  to 7 for your entire board of minions. This way your Star Aligner can strike on the same turn. If you play it on the same turn as Prophet Velen, it's a heal for 12 to the face.

Shadow Visions – Fish out your Spellstone or removal. Spells in this deck are pretty universal, so this allows you to pick and choose what’s the most beneficial for you at any given moment.

Shadow Word: Pain – This deck has a weak early game. Control it with this.

Shadow Word: Death – Don’t let big minions get in the way of making the stars align. Use this for easy board control.

Eternal Servitude – You only have a limited amount of chances to make the combo pop. Use this to increase your chances. This is very effective with Injured Blademaster as he will be a 4/7, instead. You also get a lot of value out of Mechanical Whelp.

Lesser Diamond Spellstone – Similar reason to Eternal Servitude, this card brings back your combo pieces baack and gives you the opportunity to get a full board back; mostly with 7-health minions.

Prophet Velen – An unnecessary legendary, but this IS a meme deck after all. Healing with Divine Hymn and your Hero Power are great ways to stay in the game. It’s also an efficient way to heal minions to 7 with your Hero Power offering a heal for 4.

Lady in White – Another unnecessary card, but a load of fun. Your opponent isn’t going to have a good time when you destroy their board with a 6-mana 7/7 Mossy Horror. Don’t have her? Don’t craft her. Add another Nesting Roc or a Circle of Healing.

Star Aligner – Eh, this card's okay, I guess.

Substitutions:

Prophet Velen and Lady in White are absolutely not needed. I add them in for the fun of it. You can easily use another Nesting Roc or a Gurubashi Berserker and still play the deck as it was meant to be played.

Shadow Visions is REALLY important, but if the dust is out of your budget for you non-Priest players, just add more card draw like Loot Hoarder. The other epics are kind of important.

Conclusions

Please, keep in mind this is not meant for legend. This is made for when you need a break from that ladder and you want to trigger your opponent with a card that sees zero play in Standard. I hope you enjoy. Please, leave a comment and offer some friendly feedback. Thank you!
