Classic control warrior with Raging Worgenombo Combo finisher that Kranich has beaten Kolento with on Blizzcon (VOD of Kolento's huge misplay that Kranich play combo). No need to go full gimickery with double copies of needed cards, just take out some fatties to add:
You can take out i.e. Ragnaros the Firelord, Cairne Bloodhoof* or any other cards you won't regret, just stick to The Black Knight and silences that will help you get through taunts and of course basic warrior cards like Execute or Shield Slam.
Since most of your games goes almost to fatigue, just hope your combo does not sit at 25+ slots. Play like a normal control warrior, collect the pieces, get your opponent to the lethal range and burst.
Now time for some math. When playing against control warrior on turn 8-10 people expect 10-12 dmg from enraged Grommash Hellscream combined with Cruel Taskmaster. With this combo you can deal 16 dmg for 6 mana/3cards or 20 dmg for 8 mana/4cards if you have some Cruel Taskmaster left.
*Inb4 "oomg theese are core warrior cards how can you swap them this deck suck". These are my choices:
- Cairne Bloodhoof, Ysera too slow for current meta,
- Ragnaros the Firelord was used either as finisher on empty board or YOLORag
- Baron Geddon, Hogger just don't have them,
As I wrote, just think about 4 cards you won't regeret not having.
Anyway, Is it really worth to swap out 3 legendary cards in Ctrl Wrr to put this combo?.
I think it uses too many "Sloths" to get another OTK like Gromm+Taskmaster, and is losing consistency due that.
LOL! "Well, I lost to the combo in the tournament, so it can't be that bad!"
Very strong in the current meta lol hunters and zoo have no chance against it
I dont see either why ppl are saying Kolento did a mistake. He could not commit to the board with every card he had since he had not see a brawl yet, that's it lol...
Imagine kolento commitiing with everything then 10 mana brawl happens, Kolento has 1 minion left and an empty hand... Then what?
So basically Kolento had 2 options. - Play against brawl and not commit. This means holding loatheb and argus because he obviously needed a taunt after brawl happened.
- Play against combo and play loatheb. BUT Kolento had had 2 taunts for a couple turns, he knew Kranich would kill one of them with Alex. And Kranich would need a weapon to kill the second one. It was quite obvious Kranich didnt have a weapon for some turns because otherwise he would have killed the taunts with it. He needed to kill those taunts anyway, so better sooner than later since they're dealing damage every turn in the meanwhile.
So Kolento knew that Kranich - Didnt have brawl (he would have used it already)
- Didnt have a weapon.
He knew we was in bad shape in case Kranich topdecked either a brawl or a weapon. He had to choose what topdeck to play around, he could not play around both at the same time. He choosed to play around brawl and got killed by rng topdeck. That's it. If he had commit loatheb and brawl happened, people would be like "Lol, he failed". The thing is he needed a relatively strong dude like loatheb to finish the game, 2 spiders are not gona kill the warrior armoring up every turn. I think Kolento used one or both of his combo already.
And when ppl say a 10 mana brawl would have been bad, they're wrong. It was a topdeck war, limiting factor was not mana anymore, just cards.
exactly. one can also see it in his face that he simply got lucksacked. he was sitting there with an 90+% chance to progress to the semis of blizzcon and then it simply doesn't happen
i dont understand were kolento missplayed in that vod. also cutting 3 bombs that are good on their own for a wacky combo looks horrible to me
Very fitting name for this deck. I have been using double worgen since I don't have Grommash, it's not near as good, but it's been working.
I spent a ton of dust to try to get the x5-6 legendary to work for me, while the control was amazing I could seldom ever finish off my opponents. Rag always seemed really lackluster and my 5/5 legendary never got to swing. Raging worgen combo is great but the winner of my 9 streak so far has been the charge and the inner rage additions. If you're winning solidly you can use inner rage to drop a 12/8 gromm at exactly 8 mana instead of 10 or waiting for your death's bite. Also you can make your 5/5 loath drops actually hurt more as a 9/5 charged drop instead of stalling for 1 turn and just being removed.
Before I toss in these 3 cards I'd get a lot of my opponents to like 5-12 health and not be able to push past it, now I can actually finish people off and it's working great at this rank 18-10 meta.
I feel like the pure legend warrior decks will be a lot better at rank 5 and below, though.
You are missing a rampage. He probably took a weapon out for that.
Tournament decks don t usually work on ladder
But i will try it out :D
