After seeing a similar deck played against a streamer I decided to try this version out. I'm sure it's not optimal yet however it does seem to work pretty well against a large portion of the current ladder meta. Zoo, hunter and shaman have trouble dealing with all of the early drops and removal. Priest has trouble with all of the four attack minions. Warrior can just plain be outpaced if you get the right hand. Miracle can also be overwhelmed in the right scenario. I'm not saying this deck is amazing and unbeatable it's far from it. I just think it is pretty good currently.
The reasoning behind not using cards such as dethlord and dancing swords etc for better wailing soul plays is because wailing soul is only 2/30 cards and even with some draw there can be entire games you never draw it making those cards less good and possibly even detrimental to the state of the game. Wailing soul can be a great card silencing chows and watchers but even if it doesn't get to it's still a solid 3/5 body.
P.S. Like all decks this deck can dead draw, give it more than just a couple games before judging it.
I wanted to play some watcher druid again, too. After some iterations i ended with a very similiar deck. Instead of the Defender of Argus I use Sunfury Protectors and instead of one Earthen Ring Farseer I use a Big Game Hunter. I have to agree wiht the OP that Dancing Swords are bad in this Deck. You need cards that are good without silence but do not lose value or increase value when they are silenced.
Dancing Swords seems like a good fit in this deck over Defender of Argus. The dream play being Turn 2 Ancient Watcher, Turn 3 Dancing Swords, Turn 4 Wailing Soul to negate the Death Rattle and activate the watcher. Would also help fill out the early game.
Good combo Spectal Knight +Sylvana + Wailing Soul - OMG this deck so bad 2-6 in ranked
You could be getting bad matchups/bad draw or be playing it incorrectly. As stated I never said the deck was perfect, no deck can win all of the time which means every deck can have both win and loss streaks.
Depends if you have coin or not and what the other cards are, if you have watcher or chow or innervate it's possible.
Ive been running a deck similar to this for this season and I've been having a lot of success with it. Though I run 2 Yeti's instead of arugs (personally dont think argus is a good fit for this deck as it ends up being a dead card when youre behind), 2 starfalls instead of the Spectral Knights and a Harrison instead of the Slyvanas. Good deck, certainly worth a try.
I tried out this deck with some really good results. I went with said suggestion as bloopthecube said, 2 yetis (don't want my argus battlecry to get silenced, and you can turn 1-2 yeti with innervate/coin) switched harrison for sylvanas (again, don't want silenced, and seemed to work well anyways) and only used 1/1 spectral starfall.
My personal major switch was the Black knight for The Beast, as i didn't own the black knight, and the beast fit in this deck very well. Silencing the beast was easy enough, in the case that it did die, and with the ancient of lore and earthen farseers, the beast had a big enough HP to easily keep it alive while trading off tons of cards. I would suggest adding the Beast somewhere in here, most likely in place of sylvanas and keep the knight, for silencing reasons.
