The deck that I started from^
Mulligan
To win your games you have to pressure your enemy since turn 1. Try to deal as much damage as possible and force him to defend himself. You will need to look for:
- Mana wyrm + frostbolt
- undertaker + (thalnos/loot hoarder/Leper)
- mad scientists
This deck only has 4 secrets so be sure to toss them. You don't want to miss with your mad scientist late game.
Early Game
You will most likely out aggro the aggro deck for the first 5. By the time they clear the field, they will likely be at ~20, while you are you are at ~28. Typically you have one or both secrets so they don't get much of an advantage while you get ready to play bigger creatures.
Mid and late game
After the 5th turn you can move into a type of control mode. Mage give you access to some of the best removal, the games get a little grindy but usually seems to be in your favor. Eventually you are able to land Ragnaros, although most games end with a slow progression of creatures hiding behind Sludge Belcher
FAQ
I removed zombie chow because I really only wanted him for board control in the first few turns so I moved to Leper Gnome. Belcher over Argus because he is too hard to deal with.
I'm going to test this iteration because I liked the first one and the idea behind this deck.
I do have some questions regarding Undertaker and Mana Wyrm. Do you include them to have early pressence and to trick your opponent into believing you're actiually playing Rush Aggro?
I would like to incorporate Spellbender, as it is serious value since nobody expects it but it will almost always matter. Either you block removal or prevent buffing, so you screw up the opponents plan to take the board anyway. Sure it doesn't work against non-targetted AoE but that's why you play around Flamestrike and the likes.
