Here's what to expect out of this sweet deck!
KiwiiNbacon here. For those who don't know me, I'm a multiple time legendary player on the NA server. I also do deck showcase videos on youtube once in a while.
Gameplan
Aight guys! I know what you are gonna say, and yes it's better in wild. However this deck has multiple ways to refill the hand either it is with more murlocs or with spells, there's always something interesting to do. The goal is to complete the quest while playing murlocs on curve as much as possible. now where completing the quest in the past and then not losing the board afterwards was an issue, since we are playing Shudderwock as well as Hagatha the Witch, we usually don't have the problem of running out of steam, even extremely late in the game.
Mulligans
Without the coin: you are looking to keep any 2 drop murloc except maybe Ghost Light Angler. Primalfin Totem is excellent. ALWAYS keep Lightning Storm if you play against either a Warlock or a paladin.
With coin: When you have the coin you can somewhat mitigate the fact that you played the quest on turn one and still have a good start. you need to be mulliganing hard for Murloc Tidecaller. if you have it, then look for a Rockpool Hunter. any 2 drop will do but the hunter can make for the most insane of starts.
Tell me what you think down in the comment section !!
not really competetive against other agro
Already have all the cards for this deck, so I'll definitely give it a try tonight!
Just started playing this at rank 5 1 star figured wtf nothing to loose. Some how im 4-0 (rogue, warlock, mage, druid) and been laughing so hard, havent even used Hagatha or Shudderwock! Fun deck obviously not top tier but thanks for posting!
I wanted to love this deck but I've gotten completely wrecked 80% of the time.
Have you ever thought of adding bloodlust?
I subbed shudder and the quest (since I didnt have um) for those.
It fits fine
That's really no different than drawing Shudderwock early in the standard tier 2 combo deck now. It's just a function of a high power build-around high cost card. People have fun with different things. Personally, I think that this deck has hilarious potential. If I had Unite the Murlocs, I'd build it in a second. But 1600 dust for memes is steeeeep.
I feel like the Healing Rain isnt needed. YOu are either going to kill your opponent or not. Shudderwock really only comes into play against slow decks
Fixed
Wild version just add Old murk eye and Loatheb. I play it whenever i get a Murloc quest
also if playing in wild you want to add call in the finishers and maybe even everyfin is awesome
I want to like this deck so badly, but it is just complete shit. Not enough card draw, and Hagatha battlecry triggers with Shudderwock and damages all of your murlocs... and that's only IF you manage to stay on the board long enough.
EDIT: Not complete shit, just really difficult to maintain board control long enough to play Shudderwock. I can see that it would be fun to pull it off, though
I mean the deck was built mostly to have fun XD
complete shite is not complete shite bro, insanely fun deceptively simple
I've started trying the deck today and have a 60% win rate so far. I make sure to play shudderwock before Hagatha
Yeah, I saw a deck like this around a month ago (Quest Shaman with Shudderwock and Hagatha) and played it quite a bit (shaman is my only non golden hero, so it's the only class I'm playing right now). You either win by turn 5 or 6, or you lose the board and can never recover. I don't even know why Shudderwock or Hagatha are in this deck. I've played them maybe once in dozens of games. Yeah Ghost Light Angler is great with Hagatha, especially when you keep getting crap like +2 to totem health over and over again.
And while Shudderwock is obviously the dream after Megafin, much of the struggle is just staying alive to that point if you haven't already won. Yeah I understand this deck is supposed to be for fun, but after playing a deck just like this extensively, it's not only not fun, it's very frustrating when you have Shudderwock sitting in your hand when you draw it early. Honestly, as boring as it may sound, I'm actually having a lot more fun with a Jade Shudderwock deck, and I don't even really like wild. So what does that tell you about this deck?
Thank you for putting it far more eloquently than I did.
'Frustrating' is definitely the word that sums up this deck.
can you make a wild version pls? because i want to have even more fun!!
well I feel like in wild you can just add murk-eye and call in the finishers and that's pretty gold
What do you recommend to take out then
