Blizzard said: "The fact that you coud do 26 damage in one turn with the Leeroy Jenkins + 2x Shadowstep + 2x Cold Blood lead to the creations of none interactive decks" that where boring to play against. Post Leeroy nerf, some poeple where left wandering. Will I ever see such burst damage ever again in the history of Heartstone?
Arcane Golem + 2x Power Overwhelming + 2x Faceless Manipulator round up to a whooping 36 DAMAGE BURST IN ONE TURN. (42 for those daring enough to add one copy of Abusive Sergeant, It coud also be used to boost Shadowflameif needed.)
But thats 15 mana! You say. Thats impossible! You say. Well, with a Summoning Portal in play, those are just 9 mana. Its a MIRACLE!
The dream goes like this.
Turn 8: Hellfire + Summoning Portal. Or Summoning Portal + The Coin + Ancient Watcher + Shadowflame. (you wont need the Coin if you already have another big minion in play, this turn is just the set up for the real fun.
Turn 9: Insta K.0.
Standar Handlock Tec like Ancient Watcher, Sunfury Protector and Giants serve as the meat of the deck. Wierdly enough, Corruption is not a bad card in this deck, the principal problem with Corruption is that Hellfire exists.
As you dont really want to hit face with the Ancient Watchers, you can take one copy of Ironbeak Owl, and replace it with Earthen Ring Farseer, another card that cycles itself like Mortal Coil, or even Lord Jaraxxus (If you have the portal in play, you can play Jaraxxus + Hero power for a 6/6 on turn 9.)
The reasoning behind keeping the 2x Ironbeak Owl is that, most of the time, you wont have your finisher ready by turn nine, and with the extra mana you get at turn 10 and further, you have enough to sneak an Owl (1 mana) during the combo (remember that we have a Portal in Play) to silence any taunt. (almost all decks are running Sludge Belcher these days)
Compared with the OTK Mage, The OTK Handlock has the advantajes of needing 6 cards instead of 8. Instead of Frost Nova + Doomsayer, we have the somewhat more reliable Giant + Shadowflame. Insted of Arcane Intellect to search for our combo, we can just tap and take advantage of both our low HP total and high amount of cards in hand. If you feel this deck still lacks draw, feel free to add one or two Coldlight Oracle to the list.
Good luck out there! Leave feedback on how to improve the deck below on the comment section!
PD: Big Game Hunter [/card] is a Tec card, replace it with [card]The Black Knight if needed.
maybe a second portal since they are so easily taken out in exchange for an owl or sludge belcher
This deck used to run 2 copies, but I took one out because I realized its only pourpuse was to be played the turn prior to the combo execution, and by that point you shoud've taken care of your opponents minions with AoE. (he shoud also be running low on cards by turn 9 if hes an agro deck, direct damage / charge / weapon shoud be hes only out, and you are suppose to bait those with the drakes / belcehers / giants.)
Still, runing 2 is not a bad idea, its a matter of choice, and at that time I choose not to have multiple dead cards on my hand.
Thanks for your feedback!
