Sjow: Arcane Tyrants are core in druid imo and Spellbreaker is needed in current meta
How can you judge if something is ladder worth with that small a sample size. Also its kind of stupid to call jade an uncompetitive deck, I honestly don't mean that in an offensive way, just look at how much popularity the deck has, esp. in the pro scene.
Just had a quest playing 50 Druid cards, so was looking for a (non aggro) deck and decided to go for this one.
Haven't played jade druid in such a long time i was wondering how it would be playing it again.
First games i got aggro opponents and poor draw, that wasn't that great, especially for the quest counter.
Then i managed to get some slower and/or less lucky opponents and the victories came in.
At the end it was 2 loss and 3 wins before my quest was done, in that order to.
Not sure if i'm gonna play it more for fun, but if i got another druid quest i sure might give it another shot.
How is Jade Spirit in this deck? Is the meta too fast to sacrifice the armor gain and taunt from Oaken Summons?
The armor gain/taunt help the deck stabilize against aggro/tempo decks (Aggro Druid, Rogue, Tempo Mage).
The armor gain also is what helps you get out of range of Raza Priest. I'd stick close to this build if you want to do well in this meta.
Is Branching Paths required in this deck?
I haven't played this deck yet so can't really say... But alot of streamers playing jade druid use Branching Paths because its a great tool to help get out of range of Razakus Priests burst damage. I think that's how jade druid is getting it's wins in that matchup... In combination with Oaken Summons and Malfurion's +3 armor option.
I used all the dust I possibly had to craft this deck because I wanted a change in gameplay and it looked fun. I had some luck in the beginning and won more than I lost, but now I have lost 8 games in a row, most to warlock and evolve shaman. It is likely due to inexperience, so if anyone can kind of teach me how to play this deck it would be much appreciated!
Evolve shaman is probably one of the worst matchups for this deck, it doesn't have the tools to handle multiple large minions. Warlock is usually gonna do well against this deck too.
It is meant to shine against Razakus priest and it usually does pretty well against aggro unless your opponent draws the nuts
Nice deck. I replaced 1 Arcane Tyrant with one Astral Tiger to help with the potential Oaken Summons - Spellbreaker drawback.
Holy shit the Oaken Summons makes this deck so much better. Obviously the 6 armor and 3/6 taunt are amazing. But it can also pull Fandral from your deck on turn 4 directly into a turn 5 Nourish.
Sucks when you hit Spellbreaker but you NEED one currently so no real way around that without Ironbeak Owl which kinda sucks.
Fandral costs 4 mana
I have had some very fun success with a modified version of this deck, removing Malfurion, Fandral, 1xSpreading Plague and 1x Wild Growth and adding Ixlid, N'zoth and 2x Carnivorous Cubes.
Hello guys! I showcased this deck since I played a lot of jade druid lately I was searching for the right build and here it is!
In the video bellow you can see to games - one against a tempo rogue where he got the magic card on T2 but I still managed to win. The second one is against a QUEST mage where I have to admit that I got lucky versus him since he did not get off his combo sooner.
I hope you can enjoy the video and have a nice day guys!
Quest Mage owns this deck... Think i will switch to eater of secrets. Maybe Dirty Rat too?
Yes Twig of the World Tree is a great addition to any Rank 20 deck.
It works for dungeon runs when you can get it from Portable Forge on T1 then destroy it on T2 so at least it can be slightly useful, though not to pull from a pack. The Runespear though...
what about the priest one? yes he has a weapon too xD
It's not the worst. It's playable in Maly Druid, even if it's not a Tier 1/2 deck.
Priest/Shaman weapons are way worse.
Since when the web hookers are using adv on gaming sites. Poor hookers!
