It's an ok card, but the 4 effects are VERY different. It makes it hard to put it in a constructed deck when you're not sure what value you're going to get out of it. Pretty good in arena unless you get the 15 armor because it grants you tempo while granting some armor (but it's not a must pick).
Playable at best. Bad at worst.
Good card but it could just cost 5 since it does half of UI stuff.
A card that costs 10 must do far more than 2x what a card that costs 5 does. Having to wait 5 additional turns to play a card is a huge downside. (And besides, I think we can agree that UI is hardly a fair representation of a balanced 10 cost card, anyway.)
So this can either be
1) Holy Fire
2) Arcanite Reaper + Iron Hide
3) Shieldmaiden
4) Seven and a half Hero Powers and Shield Slam becomes a discount Meteor
And it's a common; Warrior's back in arena baby.
Well technically it's better than Holy Fire because it gives you armor instead of health AND it's better than Arcanite Reaper + Iron Hide since it's only 1 card instead of 2. Though these slight advantages are offset by the randomness of the card.
I'm aware of this. I just didn't want to fill my comment with technicalities.
actually good spell for that recruit warrior deck
Care to elaborate why it does nothing for board on 6? It only happens 1 out of 4 times, and every other time you get to either (probably) remove one enemy minion or gain one minion. I dare say it could even be a get of of jail card in a good amount of scenarios. It could dampen 15 damage against aggro, remove one minion against midrange/control, or just gain tempo in general. The only downside to this card, or rather these Unidentified cards in general is the sheer randomness they offer.
Unless we see some token/big warrior, this card is not good. And even then I'm not sure it is any good in big or token warrior...
Iron Hide is gain 5 armor for 1 mana so if you compare this card to iron hide you have to ask yourself "is the effect worth 5 mana." The only one I feel is worth it is the weapon one where you get an Arcanite Reaper which costs 5 so it isn't even discounted. If this card cost 5 it would be better.
The one that summons an Iron Golem is good, too. Just think about Shieldmaiden which was a very good card for control warrior. The one that you really don't want most of the times is Tower Shield +10.
You also have to consider that this gets both effects in one card, so it's effectively "Draw a card" as well.
Tower Shield +10 buys you time against aggro and OTK decks. I wouldn't count it out.
What do you mean?
i mean the only one that isn't great on its own is the 15 armour, in which case, it's insane with shield slam. your opponent just can't play anything big.
A good common for arena warriors? What is this madness im seeing here?
ADWCTA will be pleased.
I also like the flavour of unidentified items i hope we will get more of them.
It tests skill in resource management rather than what is better for the current moment. If it was a discover effect, it would be too close to choose one from Druid
