April 2016 Card Nerf
It was announced on April 20th, 2016 that Big Game Hunter would receive a nerf.
- Mana cost increased to 5, up from 3.
Quote from BlizzardBig Game Hunter represents an inexpensive source of removal that is packaged with a minion. It’s efficient enough that some Heroes with powerful Class-based removal cards choose to run the neutral Big Game Hunter. We’re increasing the cost of the card from 3 mana to 5 mana.
That Tirion you mentioned can not be killed with that combo :P
if u have a minion on the ground yes, but i mention tirion for only BGM, the combo is mentioned generically, wasnt about tirion...
I feel like this card is a necessary evil. Otherwise, decks like Control Warrior and Handlock (decks that are already strong) basically become peerless. Does that mean they're undefeatable? Of course not - would they be the heavily dominant decks of the time? I would think so.
Basically, I think it keeps heavy control decks (and midrange decks to a certain extent) honest in the same way aggro does.
I think it should be a Hunter only card, to push Control Hunter
Don't you guys think this card spoils the game, too op IMO.
is it me or does this guy have an australian accent?
It's more Scottish.
Don't know why this is a card...
Is running two of this card really worthwhile? I have two and I'm considering dusting the second one for some cool mech stuff.
lol I misread "meth"
rly don't know about that, some decks require to use 2 of them to get rid of double threats like a dr. boom and then another minion with 7 or more attack
I just crafted this card a couple days ago for 400 dust... two days later i open it in a pack.......

well at least you didn't do that with a legendary. Put 2 BGH in your deck then.
With the recent advent of Varian Wrynn, Icehowl, and Frost Giant I wonder if people will include 2x of Big Game Hunter in their. I doubt it, but it's a definite possibility also considering older cards such as Dr. Boom
Varian Wrynn, Icehowl, and Frost Giant all have 7+ attacks so I don't see how their popularity would discourage playing BGH. As for control warriors yes pulling BGH with varian sucks but they don't have efficient removal so there really isn't a choice.
Crazy Value, Great card art, Deathwing's worst nightmare...
What's not to love?
I think the art is kinda odd. Look at the size of his hand!
The golden bullet.
