April 2016 Card Nerf
It was announced on April 20th, 2016 that Big Game Hunter would receive a nerf.
- Mana cost increased to 5, up from 3.
Quote from BlizzardBig Game Hunter represents an inexpensive source of removal that is packaged with a minion. It’s efficient enough that some Heroes with powerful Class-based removal cards choose to run the neutral Big Game Hunter. We’re increasing the cost of the card from 3 mana to 5 mana.
Crazy Value, Great card art, Deathwing's worst nightmare...
What's not to love?
It feels like this card is sort of unneeded. In a meta where extremely fast aggro decks already provide a huge detterant to playing big late-game cards, this feels not that great. Then again, I run 2 in most decks.
Then again, people still run boom and Rag even though this is in 90-100% of decks. So is it actually doing anything?
BGH man! That's my boy right there!
I got the B!tch in my sights
I wonder if Blizzard foresaw how this card would define the metagame when they were designing it. It's an epic card that kills expensive minions, couldn't possibly be broken. Just situational. NOPE
you can say the same thing with other cards like Polymorph, shadow word death, Sap, Assasinate, Deadly shot, Entomb, and Mulch everyones just mad because this is a Neutral card anybody can play not just certain classes.
killed a Deathwing with this...
guys in mid range decks we add 1 or 2 ?
Mandatory 1 of in Druid
I got the Boom in ma sight.
Needs Madness and destroy 4 power or greater for all you magic the gathering players!
Also, remember when this guy didn't show up in all decks? Yeah, neither did I ever since Ragnaros and later on Dr. Boom were a thing. It's the anti-legendary glue that keeps this game together.
Big Boom Hunter
Probably the most influential card in all of Hearthstone
Disenchanted a gold BGH months ago just to craft an ordinary one cause of Dr. Balance .-.
Shut up! Is this literally ALL you post?
His presence in the game makes the game less fun to play. He should retire.
Keep your circlejerking bullshit in reddit
In most cases, you will need only one BGH in your deck, other than decks like double BGH ramp druid. I think you can safely disenchant one if you need dust.
I GOT DA BEAST IN MA SIGHTS
More like I've got the fun in my sights!
