Knights of the Frozen Throne Guide
Hero Power Deal 1 damage. If this kills a minion, summon a Water Elemental.
In my eyes it's a pretty cool hero power which allows to trade 2 mana for a 3-6 elemental..If you add that your elemental can give you back health then the 2 mana exchange is nothing compared to what you earn..
Wow this is a horrible power. Doesn't even actually have Freeze synergy with other cards.
Hahahahaha. And people keep on saying that Jaina is a good card. Heartpwn is an amazing den of silly sometimes.
Can be used at own minions (Sindragosa tokens, Hex frogs, etc)
I haven't played mage at all in Un'Goro. Looks like that's about to change. :)
I think this card and hero power it's quite worst than the Lord Jaraxxus one, for a very simple reason. Jaraxxus is the king of the late game because he summons giant minions without spend any card/resource, and you play it when the board it's clear, to preassure the enemy to spend big removals or go face.
Well, at the moment that you want to play Frost Lich Jaina, I suppose that it is that much late game that your life can even be worst than the Jaraxxus starter one (sometimes with Warlock, you play Jaraxxus to "heal" you), but lets get into the point. You cannot summon any big minion to preassure, because you need minions with one health to create your Elementals; and for this can be accomplished, you need little minions on board (wich there are not in superlate game vs Control, maybe it counters Paladin's regular hero power, but not to much more), or already very damaged minions (wich you need to spend your cards/resources to activate the summon Elementals ability).
It's better than the regular Jaina of course, and it has a huge potential mainly for the lifesteal stuff. But I really think that it is not the crazy thing that the people is expecting to be. It is good, of course, but the real impact and use that this card can have in a regular game above turn 9... I think it's kinda weak.
(EDIT) PS. I hope to be wrong
You're not. This has absolutely no synergy, Jaina simply comes out of nowhere trying to squeeze into a deck that doesn't exist. This hero power is useless and that card is useless, people will get excited and craft it the first day only to see their hopes dashed, but hey, Heartpwn doesn't learn its lessons.
Comparing this card to Lord Jaraxxus it has it own cons and pros
+ it kills a minion then summon a 3/6 with life steal
+ you keep your health bar and has potential to heal back to 30
+ your elementals freezes the target it attacks which is better in the long run
+ you could kill your own minion to summon another one if you dont have better targets
- it is a 9 Mana which you cant use the effect the turn it is played
- you need a 1 health target to get the effect value
in general, it is not hard for mage to survive until the late game with a number of removals and aoe the class has, but will the meta be slow enough to give this card all the value? we will have to wait and see
Lol way to spin the story. Having to kill a minion before you can summon a lousy Water Elemental is a CONDITION, it's an upside. At all.
This seems really powerful? Water Elemental with life steal for 2 mana if it kills a minion and with all the spells mage has it should not be a big problem.
But looking at this effect I start to wonder if Ice Block will make it to next expansion or that this is their alternative for keeping yourself alive. They did mention in an interview they are reviewing ice block as it is a bit overpowered maybe?
2 mana deal 1 damage, if it kills a minion summon a 3/6 elemental with lifesteal and the ability to freeze any minion it attacks.Yes, please. Give it to me now.
