I have a question..... If I have Questing Adventurer or Red Mana Wyrm in the field; and cast Spreading Plague and perform his effect more than once, for every time his cast a Scarab, buff Questing Adventurer or Red Mana Wyrm?
PD: Excuse my english, my native language is spanish.
It would not activate [card]Questing Adventurer[/card] since you only play the card once. It would buff Red Mana Wyrm since it does cast multiple instances. It also is a great way to create cheap Arcane Giant.
I think this will likely be "very good" but my concern is it might be a bit slow. It's fantastic against decks like mid-range shaman who try to go wide because assuming you have few/no minions in play this is just a beefed up Protect the King. The difference between a 1/5 and 1/1 is massive though so the extra 2 mana and loss of extra bodies for any number of minions you have in play still seems worth it. It basically shuts down Bloodlust turns.
This is the best counter to Token Evolve Jade Shaman thingy everyone is/was playing for a while
5 mana protect the king !?!
important difference (which, admittedly, won't come up too often realistically) is Protect the King! will always make a number of 1/1 taunts equal to your enemy's board, this just makes 1/5 taunts until you are both at equal numbers. so having a few minions makes this card worse, which is strange but cool.
Very good card even better than Living mana imo..You don't lose your mana crystals plus your opponent has to kill the taunts..A good thing also is that if you can combine it with Mark of the wild or Mark of the lotus then you will have a really good board..Nice card for Druid!
I see this card weaseling itself into aggro decks... It's like Living Mana for aggro vs aggro match ups, and even better in some cases. They have 5 health and you don't have to worry about losing mana. Now toss a Mark of the Lotus, Power of the Wild, or Savage Roar on these guys and...... wow.
remember that the opponent needs minions and most likely if you are playing aggro and should be doing value trades and you will likely will get one taunt out of this
It repeats until your board equals theirs. Can give you up to 7 1/5 taunts.
once upon a time there was a deck on heartpwn call Super Cereal druid. The deck was based on spells and minion generating cards like Summoning Stone, Violet Teacher and Medivh, the Guardian. I still have that deck because it's so fun to play. But imagine playing Summoning Stone with Spreading Plague on a board with 3 enemy minions, the stone will summon three 5 drops and 3 1/5 taunt minions. I'll definitely Resurrect Super Cereal druid in wild and repost the deck on this site in honor of the one who made Super Cereal druid! :)

Ow damn, didn't think about it that way, well change it to: if your opponent has 7 cards on the board xD
mind, that it will always check after each iteration, how many more minions your opponent has. So, if you have a summoning stone, and paly this, you will summon a 1/5, then summon a minion via the stone, and end up having 3 minions. The spell won't repeat again...
The animations in the preview for this card seem really long especially when your opponent has a full board... *cough* Nozdormu *cough*
Are there any tokens yet for this? Scarab implies having the beast type.
Obsidian Destroyer's scarabs were beasts, so I'd assume it would be the case here too
Good way to stop aggro but it only buys you a turn or two at best. Going to be great if you can buff them with Power of the Wild, Mark of the Lotus or Savage Roar.
