It is happening! Decent lifesteal or decent early removal and we might see control rogue!
Yep rogue being able to " backstab" minions and take no damage in return is something I wanted for them from day 1
The other thing is rogue being able to "evade" direct damage spells or weapon attacks targetting the hero.
Wow, what's this? A decent weapon for rogue? I never thought I'd see the day!
This really is a good weapon. Not only does it bring redundancy in hero power + Deadly Poison, but also can synergize with weapon buffs in the mid to late game to take advantage of the immunity for the first turn. So it is good throughout the game.
This plus Deadly Poison or Envenom Weapon could be insanely dangerous and great for hard removal. I love it!
You know you're only immune the turn you play this, so sure you will save some health on the first hit by using this with Envenom Weapon but you'll also waste 2 attack twice. Not very smart.
Nice 2 see Rogue get something decent and playable...
Definitely seems stronger than Perdition's Blade. It's about time that after Eaglehorn Bow, Rallying Blade, rouges will also have a 3 mana 3/2 weapon with an effect.
I'm playing a Jade/N'Zoth rogue using lots of small minions that generate cards, swashburglars, hucksters, loot horders, ect. plus Mistress of Mixtures for healing. And of course plenty of removal. It's definitely a rank 10 deck right now (losing Unearthed Raptor sucks) but it can legitimately out value control mage (yes, even with atiesh + firelands/flamestrike plays), forcing them to burn you down instead of playing a value game, and can keep up with good hunter curves in the early game to make it to make it to the point where the hunter runs out of steam with a decent life total intact. So playing a rogue that aims for the late game isn't too far out of reach right now, and it could easily become a reality with a few good cards.
about time rogue got a decent weapon
What's decent about 3 3\2? Is fork decent? Is corrupted violet illusionist decent? It's not even a hunter's long bow which made you immune whenever you attack, that's just 1 immuned attack with deadly poisoned hero power.
I ran Sharp Fork in a budget Pirate Rogue deck for the body and weapon in one card with Deadly Poison for the Dread Corsair / Bloodsail Raider synergy. Seemed decent to me.
Only took like 2 years to Blizzard justificate the Blade Flurry nerf!
true
thats right you have to deal with violet illusionists, this grants you +2 attack "OOOh" instead of a 4\3 body that can be stealthed\shadowstepped reused later.
I never said I agreed with your comment and besides, you seem to be triggered over the fact that rogue has a playable weapon.
That's not a playable weapon. You won't see this weapon anywhere except arena.
Only this turn part makes this kind of weak.
If the weapon mitigates 4 damage, perhaps while you take out a 4/3 minion on the turn that you equip it, it's effect is as strong as Truesilver Champion. Actually it's better, because sometimes you attack with Truesilver Champion while at full health, not getting any heal, and THEN you take damage.
This card is what Rogue needs to make a controlley/midrange style viable, and I'm all for that.
