Lol cut prince malchezaar if it puts 2 or 3 mana cards in your deck it stops the other princes working.
The obvious use of this card will be to copy strong Deathrattle effects on new low cost cards so this will likely work in heavily low costed aggrieved decks. We'll have to wait and see what deathrattle effects they release before judging the card.
The trend implied by this card is that the third prince will cost 1 mana and have text like "if your deck has no 1 mana cost spells" then X, ie all cards in your deck cost 4. There might even be another legendary card that changes the mana cost of cards in your deck.
I have a feeling they are creating an archetype that requires all three princes which will likely be inconsistent. This is just my prediction and let's see what happens.
so it's a worse Faceless Manipulator that you need to cripple your deck to use...
Can you even choose which minion it copies? it's not written like the faceless.
And you can only use one instead of two Faceless Manipulator
Prince Taldaram has 3 times 3 on its text.
Prince Taldaram has 3 as mana cost, health and attack.
The Legendary Dragon has 3 spikes both front and back.
Half-Life 3 confirmed.
This card is so bad it makes me wanna curl into a ball and weep like a babe.
Well, this is a combo card, seemingly losing out to Faceless though. Lower cost is advantageous but the restriction of only being 1 in contrast to two faceless, needing you to not have 3 drops, and not copying the stats of the target card simply seems like too much of a downfall. It can't work with copying charges like faceless does as it will copy abilities such as windfury but will still have its same stats, many decks in wild would work with a charge combo, this can work to say with shaman and Leeroy in standard with windfury for 10 mana but it will still have the same stats. The only way this would work better would be a Malygos combo with the Emperor though there are so much better versions and again with the amount of 1 mana damage spells it would only work for a few classes and lose to the other versions. The concept is nice but the card is simply too weak with the extreme disadvantages just for being a 2 mana cheaper lesser Faceless.
Note: By the text i can only assume that it works like a Faceless Manipulator due to the similar card text, though if possible i'd assume it may be able to target to say from your hand, which would raise this card to outright crazy broken, well it's all assumption for the most part, hope they give more detail on its targeting soon. Yes, a Blizzard soon XD.
I could see this card potentially being run in a ramp Druid archetype as there are some interesting combos I was able to find with this card. Using Prince Taldaram in a druid deck would probably require you to cut cards like Jade Blossom, Feral Rage, Tar Creeper, Gluttonous Ooze and Ironbeak Owl. Though these cards are very strong in ramp druid, they are not essential and the deck can still perform very well without them. So here are some nasty things you can pull of with this new card:
1. Blood of The Ancient One + Innervate + Prince Taldaram gives you a 30/30 minion in one turn as a potential win condition.
2. Getting Blood of The Ancient One from Barnes + Prince Taldaram is a second way to pull off this combo. This obviously requires some luck, but can be pulled off very early, especially with all of your ramp cards.
3. Drawing Blood of The Ancient One with Bright-Eyed Scout allows you to use Prince Taldaram on it in a later turn. Again very lucky, but very strong.
4. You can use Prince Taldaram on Giant Anaconda, this is a very dirty way of pulling out some big legendaries.
5. You can use Prince Taldaram on Ysera. This requires an innervate to do in one turn, but you could also just use it on a Ysera that's already on the board.
5. If you happen to have a Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound on board, you can use Prince Taldaram on it to pull out an extra minion.
6. You can use Prince Taldaram on Cairne Bloodhoof for a very powerful deathrattle.
7. It is worth mentioning that Prince Taldaram reads: transform into a 3/3 copy of a minion, not a friendly minion, so if your opponent happens to have a card with a strong effect or deathrattle that you might want to copy, you can do so.
dont worry - theyve only released 13 (14 if you count jaina) cards out of a 130+ card expansion - not even 10%. plenty of room to see good cards.
Any legendary that doesn't allow you to run a Tar Creeper is bad. Really bad.
not necessarily - tar creeper is a good card and all but there are plenty of decks that don't run it. The problem is crafting a deck that works around not having many other 3-drops. Even still, you could run this with other 3 drops, and wait until they're drawn to use it. It's unlikely to be played on turn 3 anyway, so you could run tar creeper - play it turn 3, and then when you draw taldaram, play it to copy something big.
It's a bit better than it looks yet i will cry if i will open it
It seems like the plan is Leeroy Jenkins / Prince Taldaram / Shadowstep / Shadowstep. Prince can be shadow stepped down to 1 mana.
Prince would transform into a leeroy - so the cost wouldnt be 3 anymore. It transforms instead of copying the card text. would just be a 5 mana 3/3 charge
You basically run only this 3 drop in your deck and it can become a Faceless Manipulator, but for 3 mana only + it will be a 3-3 in stats.
Its effect works exactly the same as a faceless manipulator, but then resets attack and health to 3. plus, it only works when there are no other 3 drops in the deck.
it can be from ur hand
Are you sure or just jokin?
By itself, this card is hopelessly bad.
I hope there are some other cards in the set that synergizes with this... Otherwise its a really bad card.
