Its a really useful card for Murloc decks since card draw is quite an issue ever since cards like Siltfin Spiritwalker were rotated out, so having a guaranteed 10 card draw is almost an insta gg if the opponent doesn't have AOE...
Unless Shaman gets acces to really good card draw this expansion, is very unlikely to get this quest fast enough.
Dude just use "call in the finishers" or murloc tide hunter, or even murloc tiny fin so long as you get to summon quickly to flood the board and complete the quest, then you play Megafin and actually create up to 10 cards in your hand! U freakin get 10 new cards from outside of your deck! That is going to be sick!
Mana tide totem isn't that bad. also, Finja exists and you can always run thlnos and loot hoarders
Overall the card is rather bad even if you did wish to have a murloc shaman deck. Most murloc decks have been focused on early game damage, with the exception of anyfin can happen Paladin. So by the time you summon 10 murlocs you should be either winning the game or losing it. This card would seem to give you another chance if you are losing by the time you summon megafin, but then you still have to play the cards he adds to your hand. Overall i'm not sure if this is fast enough.
Actually this seem pretty strong, there are times where you can play Murloc but they get removed right away for free due to Flamewaker or weapons. This mean giving up early board advantage (Turn 1), for a more consistent tempo swing and steam. This is basically a full card refill, so you can run just purely murloc with no card-draw or tempo tool. Just because how insane this is.
Yes, but by the time you refill you now have a bunch of murlocs that are typically below curve.
Only if it counts, which based on the wording, suggests it does!
It does
Megafin has a nice value with Gentle Megasaur
Megafin that Gentle Megasaur value !
What the fuck is this
Welcome to the league of Murlocs!
We will be really depends on Hungry Crab and Golakka Crawler!
They might be overpowered, but you do have to face those exact minions to make them overpowered. Otherwise they're just decent and the Hungry Crab is just "mehh" when he doesn't get buffed!
"Shaman doesn't have a Class Identity except for over-stated minions with Overload, let's give them Elementals so they have a thing".
"Hey, we need a quest for Shaman, should we do Elementals or Overload?"
"Nah, give them murlocs!"
STOP TRYING TO MAKE MURLOCS HAPPEN BLIZZARD! IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
I remember when people said that about Pirates but look where we are now.
As a non-competitive, fun deck player Murlocs can be pretty amazing it works out, and I would be very sad if they stopped supporting them. I just think it's silly Old Murk-eye can't be played in Standard
Same thing people said about pirates until it DID happen.
Murlocs United is my least favourite Finball team, they really did poorly last season against the Jade Jokers and
Pirate Package.
