Journey to Ungoro Guide
Taunt. Battlecry: Set your hero's Health to 40.
Welcome everybody to "So You Think You Can Reno!"
Michael is that you!? Are you alive!?
I KNEW IT!! It was really cleaver to change your name and start living at Jurassic P... I mean Un'goro!
This is not enough to beat jade druid...
8/8 battlecry set a heroes HP to 15 #countered ?
5 mana 8/8 with taunt and gives +40 extra health?!
This card is way better than the shaman's 4 mana 7/7 with 2 overload!
Amara provides the player face card with 40hp, with her on the board as a taunt character adding an additional 8hp, giving the player "48"hp overall to the player
Also she is posing like a dance move in Koisuru fortune cookie
Is this a homage/tribute to AKB48?!?
Wow this card is AMAZING! A faster Reno with taunt and guaranteed 2 B playable by turn 4 with coin or turn 5 at the latest. As long as face decks can't kill you by turn 2 or 3 in this new expansion then we will finally see the resurrection of PAY 2 WIN decks again!
you have to do the quest fist: summoning bunch of deathrattle minions. so this card is only usable at lategame
if you luckey enough.
2x loot hoader
2x leper gnome
2x ressurect -> loot hoader
barnes -> cairne
you get Amara
Sadly I don't think this quest is not helpful in the aggro matchup. Obviously if you get it off you win, but the chance of playing the quest and then 7 deathrattles and being alive to play this card. If you curve out well enough to have played 7 minions against aggro you generally just win. This card just lowers the number of relevant cards in hand since you can't mulls it away. So it just lowers the consistency of your opening hand and comes in after the game is already desided.
In the control matchup it is good but not a game winner like Juraxxus or n'zoth. It's more like a slightly better Reno that requires hard removal from your opponent. The 40 health won't be too relevant in most control match ups but is helpful against combo or fatigue. Against control the opening hand spot isn't a huge deal so it's overall pretty good for control.
The matchup I see this doing well in is against midrange or slightly slower aggro decks. Though the opening hand spot is a pretty big deal but if you complete the quest by turn 10-15 the game will generally be won. Even then though it does lose you a lot of starting hand consistency so I really don't know if it does enough.
Overall though, the meta as always is probably going to be aggressive as dick so I doubt this will see any constructed play. I don't think there is anyway this card will be in a raza deck due to the already low consistancy, I do think think any deck that plays this will play 2 loot hoarders. Also I swear there is gonna be a 1 mana 1/1 adapt beast, calling it.
Actually, each class will have a legendary spell and if it's in their decks they will always have it in their opening hand. Meaning, turn one you will always play the quest and then just hope to fill it with whatever the quest may be. Does that change your mind at all?
Question:What happens if my opponent has one card in his hand(Amara,Warden of Hope)and I play mind vision.What appears in my hand?Shadow of something?
You can steal Amara like any other token minion... You just cannot steal quest... And your opponent just having only quest in hand is very unlikely...
Nice 5 mana 8/8, opponent devolves, you get 4 mana 7/7 easy.
Can you imagine getting Jaraxxus through Kabal talon priest and playing Jaraxxus with 40 health. Nutty.
Yes, sacrifice demon deals 40 damage OTK. :D
Did not think about that one yet
Amara is the 1st Expansion of 2017That means this card will be in play for24 more Months
6 More expansions
~800 more cards .Even if she doesn't see much play now, there is no way that she won't see play at some point in the future.
N'zoth counts as up to 6 deathrattle summons.Dr. Boom counts as 2.The best deathrattles are all wild.Since there isn't any tier 1-3 N'zoth deck in standard, I expect this card to only be played in wild, unless the expansion adds some great deathrattles.
