Journey to Ungoro Guide
Spell Damage +1. Deathrattle: Draw a card.
He's in charge of the Annual Scarlet Monastery Blood Drive!
After Deathwing makes a fiery appearance, Thalnos enters, poofing out more arcane dust than any other spell power minion in the game.
IKR, super disappointing. I mean, I thought he would burst out from the ground or something.
After rotating out Rag And Sylvanas this guy currently is the best classic neutral legendary.
Alright, so I oppened this guy up in my tavern brawl pack... first leg. in like 35 packs. I was so mad when I got him instead of Rag... so i almost dissenchanted him. But then I played him, and he was OKAY. Sorry, I am no pro-player, so can anyone explain to me why this guy is so good. Im sorry, you know, all of these comments say he's good, but is he really? Somebody PLZ explain.
First of all, you can't get rag from packs anymore. Second of all, thalnos has versatile and worthy stats to be in most deck, because spell damage makes up for the +1 attack loot hoarder has, as well as the deathrattle card draw. It's balanced because it trades stats for abilities.
Well balanced card that fits the role of low mana legendary perfectly.
Got him from a pack today, I am so glad I didn't have to craft him.
It just became the top 1 Neutral Classic Legendary to craft. R.i.p. azure drake
Why can't he hold all these value?
This was almost always the most used legendary based on stats, very versatile in across the archetypes. And Azure Drake is rare card, so it changes nothing on that :)
Is it worth crafting for Element Shaman?
Generally yes its a good card to have for Shaman.
It provides card draw which Shaman lack without Azure Drake orMana Tide Totem. It also provides Spell Damage which is great for board clears like Maelstrom Portal and Lightning Storm.
Moral dilemma! A while ago i unpacked a glorius golden thalnos. He serves me well in alot of my decks and i am glad to have him. I use him for reno mage, tempo mage, combo druid, miracle and otk rogue and other fun decks as i try them. However I am tempted to disenchant(hold the hate) to get a sylvanus. The deck that i mainly play on ladder with a very strong win rate is good, but it could be much stronger with a sylvanus. Sylvanus would also help for n'zoth decks and is generally a top tier legendary.
So do i dust my golden thalnos for a sylvanus? Please, i need help with this.
edit; in case it helps, the deck i want sylvanus for is a resurect priest and i would swap out emperor thuarisan. Is it worth it?
No, don't do stupid things. You will disenchant a golden Bloodmage Thalnos for Sylvanas Windrunner then you will save enough dust to craft Bloodmage Thalnos, but as regular. So, you will just lose the golden version. Just because. Sit on your ass and have some patience, save some dust and craft Sylvanas Windrunner. Thalnos is a card that you are gonna need anyway, so you will end up crafting it if you DE it.
why would you disenchant a golden copy of the best legendary in the game friend?
It's sylvanas not sylvanus. Also, keep him.
Prepare your "Sylvanus" lol. (Card is actually called Sylvanas)
R.I.P Sylvanas Windrunner. Going to be in wild soon, but u should still craft it. Blizzard will give you 1600 dust when it gets rotated, allowing you to craft thalnos again :)
Put your hands together for the skeleton in a dress, Bloodmage Thalnos!
