Krul is that much more fun in Wild, alongside Mal'Ganis. If you have a Doomguard in hand as well when you play Krul, you get a 9/11, 9/7, and 7/9 Charge for 9 mana, and become Immune. That's a fairly strong turn. xD
Is this Zeratuls voice from the Star craft ?
Not if you have a Faceless Shambler for next turn. 3/15 taunt can be hard to deal with.
That's why you either play Jaraxxus before Krul or play Krul before drawing Jaraxxus, or choose the Shadow Oil from Kazakus or play Kabal Trafficker to get another Jaraxxus. Not to mention that Jaraxxus is a 3/15 minion, which in some rare match ups is even better than becoming Jaraxxus.
So that's not the reason Krul sees no play; the reason is the lack of good demons. In Wild he's good because only Mal'Ganis alone makes him worth playing.
I would never advise crafting this card, but I think if you open it and have the means, building a deck around it is INSANELY fun. Even just pulling a Doomguard can give you a nice push ahead in any given game, and it combos really well with Kazakus spells that put demons in your hand and, of course, Kabal Trafficker.
Got it today, I'll think about a Renolock deck now. Since most Demons with battlecry are harmful to you, this can help you repopulate the board at 9 without suffering much... As long as you're not holding Lord Jaraxxus!
I don't know if I'd craft him, but I'm glad I didn't dust Krul after I recently got him in a pack. He is a hell of a lot of fun, and really not bad, except in the mirror, and only then if your opponent hasn't cast Twisting Nether yet.
Krul is no Mal'Ganis, but he's more fun than I expected and combos beautifully with the aforementioned Turtle in Wild. xD
is it me the only one who doesnt have this card? and many of the new legendarys?
Fun card and arguably the best entrance animation of the set!
So far since I've been running him in my Reno demonlock and he is really good with the only downside being that he can pull Lord Jaraxxus but even then outside of the few classes that have have guaranteed board clears like Twisting Nether this is a nightmare to deal with if it summons 2 or 3 other demons.
I was lucky to get him from the booster packs. I must tell that one of my favourite cards atm. He singlehandedly won about 50% of my reno demonlock games. It is so satisfying if you get 3 to 4 demons out to the empty board and it has happened quite many times already.
I made Krul-Reno work until rank 4, but, now that Jade Druid is optimized, Krul is just too slow to play. Against jade druid, by the time you have the "combo" in hand (the combo being Krul + doomguard + hopefully some other demon), their bullshit jade golems are already 6/6 and it's not enough of a tempo swing.
You absolutely need the Leeroy combo to punish druids for running so much value and not enough taunts/damage. Krul just doesn't cut it, which is a shame because I crafted this card as a Renolock lover :(.
I like how this is the only Kabal legendary that doesn't mention the Kabal in anyway.
Raza: surrender to the Kabal.
Inkmaster: The Kabal is the strongest. (Something like that)
Kazakus: A new pupil! (He is the leader)
Krul: Screw Kabal you're mine.
The main problem is that strongest demon with taunt is Felguard. If this or Fearsome Doomguard had taunt it would be amazing, because you could then get big taunt, big charger(Doomguard) + other good stated demon(s).
This is my first ever golden legendary.
Now I just have to build a deck around it!
if you have in your hand Unlicensed Apothecary
it hurts ... carefull.
I havent been in a position to science this one yet - does it proc off all demon summons or is there an order to it? Like left to right in your hand or does it only proc once from Krul?
