Make Shaman Great Again!
I think that your reasoning is kind of sound, but allow me to poke a few holes in it. First, your assertion that this card cannot swing a game. I disagree with you very much on this count, as a 10/10 taunt is always good, no matter what stage of the game you are in, and it can save your ass in more than a few situations, especially as it is only 5 mana, leaving you room to play something like Hex or the 4 mana 7/7. Second, your implication that this card is too inconsistent. Enter Elise Starseeker. A card that is basically the same as this in terms of mechanics, and is an autoinclude in almost every type of control deck. Third, your statement that this just gets screwed up by hard removal. Well guess what. hat applies to every big card in the entire game, with the exception of Soggoth the Slitherer. And big minions are still played. Also, most shaman decks have enough big minions that the opponent will have exhausted their hard removal by the time The Storm Guardian comes out. Finally, I have no idea what you mean by "5 mana for 3/3 stats.". This card is a 5/5 taunt for 5 mana, which is pretty good in itself. It also happens to have one of the more powerful effects in the game. These are my points of view, only time will tell if this card is OP or not.
How are they related? They're both class legendaries in the MSoG expansion.
Holy crap is this card good. This is the tirion of shamans, and you know it. Heck, I might actually squeeze this dude in my midrange shaman deck
Its the shaman equivalent of tirion
Not downvoting here, just saying that this card could very well be as good as Tirion in some decks, as it gives insane value on a 5 drop, and is better than most other 5 drops in the game. Why would you not put this in a deck?
I really think that this Legendary rivals cards like Mal'Ganis, Tirion Fordring, Ragnaros, Lightlord and Sylvanas Windrunner in terms of power. I see it as probably one of the highest ranked cards in Arena, just like Tirion is.
First Deathrattle minion for Shaman
Great card ..... N'zoth will be pleased !!
I'm just going to say: Barnes
Will be good when Entomb goes wild, until then will just get run over by priests
White eyes green panda lol
To everyone complaining about Rogue not getting anything, I have two things to say;
A) Different classes have different weaknesses. Hence why Rogue doesn't get any Battlecry heal effect.
B) You guys do realize it takes MONTHS to YEARS to make a set, right? hence why Purify came at a time that Priest was considered horrible, and why Midrange Shaman went from 0-100 in the span of one release (Kharazan). It also explains why Shaman is getting this card; they didn't realize how good it was while this card was in development.
This is Priests turn to shine with all their new goodies. Rogue will be next.
Is this a Joke?
" That's incredible"
I can't really see this being played in constructed since it has no immediate effect on the board. The 5 mana 10/10 can, at earliest, be played on turn 6, but it is more likely to be played much later in the game when the opponent has drawn hard removal that makes the 10/10's high value stats negligible. The most concerning thing to me though is the fact that shaman is consistently receiving above average / around average cards while warlocks are getting cards like Seadevil Stinger and Bloodfury Potion. Two different classes, granted, but do shamans really need another value card while there are classes that have very few well stated minions / quality spells? Spread the love a little, plz
Seadevil Stinger is more comparable with Call in the Finishers, and Bloodfury Potion is more of a nerf to Potion cards (Kabal Chemist) than Warlock.
Keep in mind we didn't see the Warlock legendary. It could be incredibly insane.
Shaman is going to be terrible again once the first expansion hits in 2017. These cards clearly represent an attempted shift to make it a more control class once the current super OP shaman rotates out of standard. I haven't seen any Shaman cards yet that are good enough to replace anything Shaman is currently doing.
This card is fantastic. Almost single-handedly makes N'Zoth Shaman a thing and obviously has extreme combo potential with Ancestral Spirit and Faceless Manipulator.
White Eyes Blue Dragon PogChamp
Dammit.
