He would be played in nzoth decks even with deathrattle: do nothing, only good taunt with dearthrattle
.
Speaking of DR: do nothing, does anyone else think it would be cool if he had a similar effect to Feugen/Stalagg? Like, if his effect was "If White Eyes already died this game, summon the Storm Guardian." Imagine the Ancestral Spirit/Reincarnate/N'zoth synergy.
Yeah, but if you don't have any of those cards, it literally is Deathrattle: Do nothing.
A reason why this isn't as op as people thought it would be is the fact that when it dies, you're waiting for your payoff.
If it appears the next turn than it's great, if it's at the bottom of your deck than it's just a 5/5 with taunt.
Still a good card, just wanted to share some insight.
This guy is cool but not op. Though he is devestatingly weak to silence, he has a strong, possibly game changing effect. However, compare him to tirion or sylvanus. Those two are stupidly strong the moment you play them. Not when you draw a specific card that is most likely the last ine in your deck. Therefore, inthink that white eyes is more on the level of Elise Starseeker. You draw the card they shuffle and you win, but this doesn't happen until late game. So therefore, white eyes is a strong and fun card, but is not devestatingly over powered and meta defining.
You're saying he's "devastatingly weak to silence" and yet you're comparing it to Tirion and Sylvanas. Seems to me that a silenced 5 mana 5/5 is way better than a 6 5/5 or an 8 6/6. And neither of those are "stupidly strong" the moment you play them because their deathrattles are actually their strength.
Anyway, if I draw a 5 10/10 I'm sure as hell not waiting for the late game to play it...
Actually, you read me wrong.
1. I was comparing white eyes to tirion and sylvanus because they are all weak to silence/transformation.
2. Tirion and sylvanus are strong the moment you play them. Tirion is a strong taunt with a weapon as a bonus, and sylvanus makes your oponent trade unfavourably to avoid you stealing their minions.
3. I was not saying that if you drew the storm guardian you would wait to play him. However, due to the loving grace of rng, you will not draw the storm guardian until late game. If you burn a single card it will be the storm guardian. This is what happens with the golden monkey so i assume it will happen with the storm guardian.
now that that is all cleared up, dont take my word to seriously. Im a fairly new ftp player and i have been wrong about several cards. Therefore if you dont agree with me, then instead of arguing with a relatively new player, just ignore me.
Your arguement is invalidated by your premise. If your opponent has silence for your threat (your premise) then White Eyes was better than Sylvanas/Tryion.
What the actual eff...

The Storm Guardian
After his transformation, White Eyes somehow found the time to change into a white shirt!
That Starcraft reference in the flavor text tho
Have this card in golden.
First pack. Thank to my f2p account.
Cool
Alright. I've tested White Eyes enough to formulate an opinion. THIS CARD... this card is what glues control shaman together; It makes the control matchup almost unbeatable. Not only do you have an extra target for faceless manipulator and ancestral spirit, but you also shuffle in a massive threat which helps against fatigue. Plus, with most shamans packing double Hex, you can bait them out with this and then spit out a Earth Ele or Bog Creeper.
As for the midrange/tempo/aggro matchup, White Eyes doesn't really change anything. XD Control Shaman can deal with most midrange decks anyways. Aggro is aggro tho... This card certainly isn't meta-defining, though, and I think midrange shaman is still better for laddering.
What about execute/shield slam?
Stop. Giving. Shaman. Good. Cards. Please.
