The last time i saw a darkspeaker it was in a pack and it instantly turned into 20 dust. This card is bad. Really bad. I tried using it for so long but it just sucks. For example, say if you use it on this guy. You spent 5 mana to giva a minion +1 3 and summon a vanilla 2 3. Just not worth it.
That's quite a trick you pulled off, considering Darkspeaker is worth 100 dust.
blizzard is shit giving this card just to go and play rng decks or just take the coins and put them and play miracle thats it. they nerfed oil and blade flury and now giving rng decks u cant even guarantee a win with this deck. this class is getting boring all we can play is one deck miracle.
You have the best punctuation I've ever seen.
It is quite possible that this card alone can keep itself in play for 2 - 3 turns.
Example:
Turn 3 Shaku, The Collector.
Turn 4, attack with this minion, gain a minion buff, Divine Shield, Windfury, Taunt minion or something to kills off his minions and it might let you get one or two more ticks from this minion.
Think about on turn 4 attacking with Shaku, The Collector and gaining from him Blessing of Kings, i know it's a long shot but my point is there are so many things you can get from your opponents class to defend this minion, who knows, maybe this little fellow might be able to secure himself and give you even more value.
Yes i've considered that the value you get to secure him is used on the following turn so you won't be keeping it, but it might pressure your opponent and might make your opponent panic and finish it off with some insane tactics.
Yeah, just think what you could do with all those Mind Visions, Blessed Champions, Purifys, Mark of the Wilds, totemic mights, etc.
Don't forget about those Cursed Blades
Shield slam, savagery, astral communion, eye for an eye, bestial wrath, demonfuse, ect. There are a lot of shit spells.
I wonder if this will make Master of Disguise viable. People suggested using Conceal or taunt to squeeze that extra value off Shaku, but I think using Conceal this way doesn't give enough value -- Conceal essentially replaces a card with a random card from your oponent's class, whereas when used with Gadgetzan Auctioneer or Questing Adventurer you get way more value. But, Master of Disguise can be played on curve to give Shaku stealth, and puts a 4/4 body on the board, which isn't amazing but allows you to steal one more card.
Very underwhelming. I like the burgle effects, but huckster and swashburglar are miles ahead of this. I was looking forward to crafting a rogue legendary because its my favorite class.
I keep hearing everyone saying Undercity Huckster is better than Shaku because they'll both atleast Burgle 1 card and Huckster costs 2. But seriously, is it that complicate to see that Huckster is *never* gonna give you anything else than Burgle 1, unlike Shaku ? Sure your opponent can have an answer to a 2/3 body, but if they don't you'll just goddamn Burgle 1 every turn. Did people really forget how an unanswered Flamewaker or Mana Tide Totem can be devastating ? Shaku snowballs all the same except he has Stealth (therefore can be played on curve without instadying).
The hell is wrong with you guys ? :p
Flamewaker has 4 health and often played behind mirror images and cheap spells to get instant value, and mana tide can sit behind taunt totems and cheap thing from belows. If your opponent has no answer to a 3 mana 2/3 after you attack on turn 4, you probably are on your way to winning anyway. This almost always gets only 1 card.
Defending Flamewaker and Totem by talking about the situations in which they're good, while neglecting to talk about any rogue spells or the good lines of play for Shaku (which would be clearing the board with cheap/free removals, then playing a second threat to force the opponent to choose one threat to kill, or play Conceal), makes no sense if you want to judge the card seriously.
Now if your opponent has the answer in hand after the first attack (which HAS to be a spell, a weapon or a Charge, since you'll not deliberately attack on a board that'll trade with Shaku and keep him Stealthed for some better time, except if you're getting rushed down in which case Shaku is at its worse), what is wrong with that ? Shaku got you about some 2 for 1 at his worse (the only really good answers being 3/2 weapons or 4/3 Charge). Don't see any problem with that. Xaril is decent while he's weak tempowise, because he lets you get 2 Toxins that are worth about 0.75 card each.
And I kinda disagree on the "if your opponent can't deal with your 3-drop on turn 4, you're winning". They could be playing a 4 drop that's simply dominating the board, and that's generally what you have when your hand is lacking removals : decent on-curve proactive cards. Or they could simply have some 5+ mana cards and go 2-drop + Hero power. Now the most important thing Imo, is that if your opponent actually can't kill your 3-drop on their turn 3-4, you're actually not at all on your way to win, because your 3-drops are 3/3 SI:7, which isn't really punishing. The real issue with rogues is that you merely put any early pressure in standard (and I play N'Zoth Rogue in wild, so I know the big difference ;), therefore your opponent is free to play whatever is best for him and you just try to deal with it in the early game. Shaku starts to fill that hole by being really punishing when it attacks multiples times, Stealth letting you choose the right moment to start attacking.
Rogues cards just can't be evaluated like Warrior or Hunter cards, they have different strenghts to consider and different gaps to fill.
It doesn't matter which card is better, you'd play these cards in the archetype, and thus you'd want them all.
Someone could have put this effect onto a common card and nobody would bat an eye
if it wold be in a paladin with all its buffs card wil be preeety good but rogue cant boost health that much. it will be preety good if it had efect when it kills minion gain stealth again.
Fun card rather than card that can win you a game efect is not good enolught torun in constructed
Blizzard really wants rogue to get more cards from the opponent's class, don't they? The more I think about it, the more I want to call the class thief over rogue. :p
this card is dangerous if you use Gang Up and have some kind of taunt in front of it making it hard to remove or using Conceal when you don't have one. this is what happens if your opponent has little board clear and this strategy won't work on every deck annoying to deal with if abused :)
It rly sucks, Undercity Huckster is waaay better since shaku is not gonna attack more than once (99% of times).
