Arena will be pure body game from now on.
Not exciting, but there should be no complaints over vanilla cards like this being introduced into the game through an expansion. It's nothing new and probably necessary at this point. I'm sure you'll be happy (in a sense, it's a spooky horror!) to see this card when using Forbidden Shaping, Evolve, and Master of Evolution over something like... The Boogeymonster!
There are always vanilla cards in every expansion, what is this whine all about ? I don't get it..
It's from people who don't understand how arena works
Arena card.
This art should have been legendary.... even if it is Boogeymonster's place. Still miss General Vezax.
I hope at least 1 percent of people got the real message in this one from Blizz. Others - just type its name in google.
PS: Real Eldritch Horror is a siiick game, nice it has cameo appearance here
This isn't a reference to the game Eldritch Horror. You should really read some Lovecraft if you think this is a cameo for a board game.
All this expansion, all this part of a Warcraft lore - tribute to Lovecraft works. That's obvious and I dunno why you think I don't know about this. The thing is - Lovecraft's "universe" inspired many many other great stuff. I hardly believe Blizz don't know about Eldritch Horror board game (preeetty awesome one, I have to say) and just naming a card the same way. So for me - a fan of all this stuff - cool to see some interactions here and there.
There is no intended reference to the Eldritch Horror board game. It's like how most times people say the phrase "Major League" or "Traffic", they are not making a reference to the movies of the same name. An Eldritch Horror is something you would call a Lovecraftian monster. This is a Lovecraftian monster, hence the name. Again, I don't think you really understand what Eldritch Horror means in this context. "Eldritch" is an adjective Lovecraft used quite commonly in his works. You should really read some actual Lovecraft instead of thinking you're an expert on the mythos after playing a board game.
WHAT A COOOOL DESIGN THAT IT'S EMPTY!
Quick question!
Would you play Eldritch Horror or The Boogeymonster ?
This, Faceless Behemoth, and Soggoth the Slitherer are all just so boring.
Still hoping this is in reality a token that spawns from the epic MTG cross-promotion Eldritch Moon.
I know right ? Its my favorite card in the set. SOOOO GOOD..........sarcasm
