I feel like this little guy is the king of replacements when you aren't sure what to fill that empty slot with. I crafted him and I have no regrets! Awesome card.
A true Doctor.
Who agrees that this was made for an upcoming tavern brawl where you got 30 of these guys? lolol
He came from the future.
SECRET CARD INTERACTION w/ Brann Bronzebeard??? "FANATIC DEVOTION"
http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/general-discussion/138490-secret-buff-fanatic-devotion-shifter-zerus
This happens if your Shifter Zerus shifts into C'Thun and gets buffed while it's in your hand, after it transforms again it still keeps the buffed stats (in this case Fanatic Devotion comes from Crazed Worshipper taking damage).
I have updated my full analysis of how Shifter Zerus works in Standard (how often it will become a Legendary, class card, have Battlecry, Taunt, etc.) with new information about how Priest "copy" cards may be interacting with Zerus while he is still in your deck and not your hand. I highly recommend you check it out if you are considering crafting or playing him.

cutest card of the xpac :)
Reno works off what cards are in your deck, but since the one you played was in your hand it should have worked fine.
Interestingly, he morphed into C'Thun on me last night. Unfortunately I had a locked mana crystal so didn't get to play him. As C'Thun he was only 6/6 initially, but he got to 8/8 when I played a card that turn. So if you get a second C'Thun it just starts out at 6/6 but I suspect (but haven't proved) that all C'Thuns will get the boosts from C'Thun effects on other cards.
If he's copied from your hand, what does the other player get exactly?
What is he after he dies?
So with my experience with Shifter Zerus, here's my two sense:
Is the card good? Yes. Is he needed? No. Zerus is a case of "Fun and flexible," but he not good enough on his own to warrant crafting. If you get him in a pack then by all means use him, as he can pretty much go with any deck with his flexibility.
"But he's so random!" Yes, but he's controlled RNG. If you have him in your deck then he should be the number 1 priority in the mulligan, since he can sit in your hand and you can wait for him to turn into something useful, because 4/5 times he'll turn into something good if you have no options.
So I'm having a blast with him, and I recommend anyone who gets him from a pack to use him.
Very good since it make your opponent choke since it can be any minion from anything from a wisp to cthun :)
I find the Shifta to work well in a Reno Warlock deck I created. Here is the link = Reno with the Shifta
First WOG legendary. Fun RNG card, it can generate pretty busted plays.
just got him golden...well i love the little dude :D
A moment from first day:
I got this and added to my Reno Rogue deck. It was in my hand since first turn and transformed into crap things. Opponent was crushing me and then in turn 6 he transformed into Reno Jackson :D
I think it's a great card because it gives you minions outside your class for example I got the new legendary shaman card out of him today which was awesome, that makes him unique.
