Solid card, will definitly see play in Tempo mage
It's not too strong, but far from bad as well
Great pick in Arena
Nice card
pretty good card btw
Rip Arcane Explosion
You can use any minion with a "+n to spell damage" to increase Arcane Explosion's damage but only Brann Bronzebeard to increase Twilight Flamecaller's battlecry damage.
It's like a fan of knives, except instead of drawing a card you get a 2/2 body immediately. It'll probably see play in tempo mage decks in wild as a good way of punishing aggro, or maybe in standard if some aggressive decks survive.
Now that's how a troll card would look like !
I guess they're really scared that Steward of Darkshire might be too strong so they are ding more cheap stuff to break the divine shields?
I mean, it kinda makes sense, it would suck if all mage decks had to put in Arcane Explosion because their big boardclears are ineffective.
on the other hand, we already have Wild Pyromancer for everyone....Wild pyro nerf incoming?
Wild Pyromancer works very differently, though
It's not a battlecry, only activates on spells; and hurts -all- other minions
This new card is less 'punishing' in that regard
This card is very similar to Shifting Shade. The reason I say that is because they both have effects based off other cards (Thoughtsteal, Arcane Explosion), and they both gain the same amount of value off of their effect. With Twilight Flamecaller, you're paying 3 stats to get a 2 mana ability. That is a 0.5 mana value gain. Which happens to be the same amount of value as Shifting Shade nets you. This card, on paper actually appears slightly better then Shifting Shade, since it's effect is a Battlecry rather then a Deathrattle. In practice, though I don't think this card will be outstanding. Its power will vary, just like Arcane Explosion's power level. It will start getting powerful after you've dealt 4 or more damage. So this card really isn't anything special unless your opponent has a large board. In arena it will be useful because value isn't a priority, and this card could have a large tempo swing against more aggro and zoo like arena decks.
moar mage kards plox
Because it's both a bad joke and annoying.
Ironforge Rifleman cries in a corner. What did he do to deserve this? But wait... a glimmer of hope. The enemy hero is at 1 Health! Locked and Loaded!
inb4 they buff Ironforge to deal 2 damage and be a 3/3
In two years, this guy will be out of standard and everyone will put Ironforge Rifleman back in their decks.
This card would be way better if it was a deathrattle.
muster counter
I like it! It's basically a nice tempo play turn 3 and can help later on after a Brann.
Definitely a good arena card
