Al'Akir the Windlord was the Elemental Lord of air. He ruled over his domain of Skywall from his seat at the Throne of the Four Winds. He was once the foremost tactician in the Old Gods' horrific armies. Aligned with the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing and his fellow Elemental Lord Ragnaros the Firelord in their efforts to usher in the end of days, Al'Akir was defeated by the mortal champions of Azeroth, who were able to enter Skywall from the breach in Uldum and destroy the Windlord within his own sanctum.

Charge, Divine Shield, Taunt, Windfury

He is the weakest of the four Elemental Lords. And the other three don't let him forget it.
Card Sounds
Probably one of the better animations for the Shaman cards, and the fact he has the abilities he has makes him such an oddball of a card.
This card always gets played as one of my last 5 cards for some reason...
Combos with Enhance-o Mechano.
This card needs a buff. Maybe lower the mana cost to 7 or increase its ATK to 4.
Now that priests are running two SW:P again, they always seem to have answer to this guy.
I'm also pretty sure Al'Akir is the only 8 mana card in this game who dies to SW:P without other cards influence which is really terrible; as if the priest matchup for shaman wasn't hard enough already.
If you play him down, the opponent shouldn't live long enough to SW:P him. He's a finisher, like Leeroy.
7 mana is too powerful ,deadly alch'akir
Agreed, i think a mana cost adjustment would make this guy really balanced out, maybe bring shaman midrange into the mix shortly with a solid buff.
If he's a finisher, why would they put provocation on him? It's not like he was so difficult to remove even behind a taunt. I think the design of this card is strange.
I love the imidiate impact and combo potensial this card has :) One of my favorite cards.
8 mana for 3/6 attack... mmm I'm not really excited about this card
its actually 6/6 with the windfury
Since it has charge, it would be better without taunt but with better attack.
Keep in mind he has Windfury... any attack buff would be essentially doubled. 4/5 would be OP. 3/6, on the other hand, would be better, imo, since Taunt is a defensive ability anyways.
you could use saarad instead of lorewalker to get your inervates keep it out for 4 turns hero power each turn for inspire then al'akir rockbitter x2 bloodlust x2
I really want this card, since shaman is my favourite class. Unfortunately i got a golden one from a card pack simulator, haha.
when i started the game i read out my first cards in my first card pack i said some random commons the al'akir the windlord he freaked out said it was a legendary 2 packs later golden millhouse manastorm... i had no idea what legendaries where i don't remember what happend to mill house probably turned to dust the 1000000 wisps
Now you think this guy is annoying when you hit with it.. Imagine the new V07TRON x4.. They should have added an alternate line or something...
dusted a golden millhouse for you, love at first draw, Winds Obey my Command!
The opinions of this card are completly split between best card in the game to worst card in the game
Would be much better without the Taunt.
