Warlock such a bad class that even warlock doesn't wanna play it.
Kappa
top meta decks have cards that run over 1 mana above average or roughly 1 mana above standard stats (mana att/mana + 1hp) so on average renounce drakness pretty much just loses u 2 mana.
I've been messing around with this card on an account that doesn't have a lot of the cards. I figured it's gotta be more fun than trying to zoo it up with hunter or warlock. It's definitely a mixed bag of whether you get cards that can help you. I did have one game where the draws were all good, then three straight draws of unplayables cost me the game, when I was about to win otherwise. I've kinda concluded it's not a viable deck against good decks. What I think though is it leads to games like no other and sometimes you can really take advantage of the opponent. Definitely worth it to try out, especially if you can't make a good deck otherwise. Just let the rng guide you.
I made a similar deck except the deck has a ton of duplicates and the only way I can get reno to activate is to play until fatigue or renounce the darkness. I call it Renounce the Darkness, Embrace the Reno XD
This card is amazing, I ended up opening up two of these (unfortunetley not the gold version...) but wow are these games fun.
Two things, one is that I worked in Yogg-Saron, Hope's End and Justicar Trueheart both of which are awesome, justicar is less needed but nice, and I would say that Yogg is a must have in the deck.
This also leads me to point out one thing....if you cast renounce darkness more than once, it will change your hero power again, but not your class cards.....not expected but makes sense after reading the card again. I had this happen when Yogg-Saron, Hope's End cast it for me. I was a warlock playing shaman cards, (PS thanks RNJesus for 5 chain lightnings) with a druid hero power.......
I dunno what the deal is with this card but everytime i've faced it,it's almost like it's not rng atall the opponent seemed to have a pretty well constructed decks if not even better because all the cards are cheaper...and you can run three of whatever...probably bad luck.
I think the spirit of the card is more so that they can not kill themselves mid or late game. A lot of the warlock class cards do damage to the hero and some of the class cards also discard cards
Will a golden card give you all golden cards of the target class?
Yes, like golden Thoughtsteal
The hero power it gives you is also golden :)
This card is so fucking fun, first time i played it i got 5 Poison Seeds.
stole enemy yogg, play yogg, yogg this card, my shadowform power got replaced...nothing in deck got replaced, except the priest cards cost lest and luckily i got another shadowform
" booo!"-evil heckler
Twilight Dankmender
Uses Renounce Darkness and becomes a priest full of Shadowform, Twilight Darkmender, Spawn of Shadows and Excavated Evil.
I thought I was renouncing darkness....
I've had the pleasure of receiving this card in the first couple of packs I opened, and it really is a fantastic one.
Basically it all boils down to the curve of your deck. If you manage to hard-mulligan for it in an all-warlock deck and play it early, you have a good chance of absolutely decimating your opponent. It's so much fun to gamble with.
Unfortunately, facehunters still don't care about your little gimmick and will ignore the card completely - you may not have a good chance of countering that. All in all, just use it to play your friends!
thats a lie. Renounce darkness doesn't fill your hand. it simply replaces cards.
When played by another class, the hero power still changes, as I found out from Yogg-Saron.
Coin Renounce Darkness in Turn 1 is so Overpowered :D
