DOOM FOR EVERYONE!
DOOM FOR YOUUUU!
Idk, it might be bad but I dig the flavor.
For me it's looks like C'Thun OTK warlock, just use it to draw C'Thun faster to make lethal combo wombo. But still too much cards unknown.
What about Arena? I think this would instantly turn around an otherwise already lost game. (and sorry, if someone already stated this, but lazy me hadn't the time to go through 10 pages)
Decree of Pain, is that you?
I see a great synergy with Zoo Decks. When you lie your minions on board and there is nothing useful in your hand.. BAAM.. just DOOM! it and reaload your hand :)
Ehm..... I would love to call this card a 10/10. It has 11/10 art, that's for sure! Yogg-Saron is looking very intimidating, very awesome.
And if it was a mage card, I would call it 10/10. Or a Paladin card. Or.... really, any other class except hunter and rogue. But Warlocks already have plenty of card-draw. They're a class that plays a "hand" deck, often holding 8+ cards the entire game, without a single card-draw card, by sheer force of their Hero power!
Lets look at it objectivly. For a warlock, Health = Cards (Health is a bit more valuable because while it turns into cards it's also got it's own natural value in addition). So the best thing I can compare this to is the lovely Siphon Soul, which destroys a minion and gives you 3 hp back, or, in warlock language, 1.5 cards. For 6 mana. This seems like Siphon Soul upscaled a bunch. For 60%ish more mana, you get to destroy ALL minions and draw more cards. Now Siphon Soul is a pretty great card. Pretty much all control warlock decks run atleast one copy. So in my opinion, the question of DOOM! Being equally powerful falls to the ratio. Since the only cost increase is 60%ish mana, can this destroy 60%ish more creatures and draw 60%ish more cards? That depends on the board. Which depends on which class you're playing against. If the board has 3 minions on it, this card is twice as effiecent in drawing cards, and thrice as effiecent a removal. That is of course refering to enemy minions, because if you destroy your own minions with this card, then the amount of cards you destory will have to be deducted from the cards drawn in total "card advantage value. Now if this kills 2 minions, it is twice as effective at destroying minions than Siphon Soul, but only 25% more effective at drawing cards, as it will draw 2 cards compared to Siphon Souls theoretical 1.5 cards. This can also be seen as a drawback because you are free to turn your health points into cards at your own leisure, but this forces you to draw those cards and while drawing cards is often a good thing, as a warlock you must be very careful not to deck yourself.
In conclusion, you need to destroy at least 2 more enemy minions than the amount of your own minions that you are destroying (even if the amount of your own minions you are destroying is 0) for this card to compare well to the existing Siphon Soul. Bear in mind this comparison is extremely shallow and misses a lot of key details because the cards are simply not the same. I don't want to compare this card to Twisting Nether because Twisting Nether doesn't draw cards and when you're a warlock that is a substantial difference. Two different worlds, really.
In my personal opinion, I would play it. But mostly because it has epic art, will have super epic Golden Art, and will probably have an enjoyable visual effect.
Final note : Don't play two of these. You'll deck yourself and 2 10 mana boardwipes is just too much. 7+ mana boardwipes are not like 6- mana boardwipes. Those can be used in the early game where minions are plenty and come in quick supply, and where minions often Deathrattle to leave behind more minions that need to be cleared.
meh... it looks great, but it has no synergy with any current warlock archetypes. It has a lot of potential though, so I look forward to seeing what kind of archetypes spring from this.
immmmm OP? at least compared to twisting nether.
I think of a card like this like I would Divine Favor combined with Elemental Destruction. This would be great in a face deck at removing your opponents board, while also drawing into the burn you need to finish. The problems is it costs 10 mana, which is to late. Either you have already won by that point, or already lost.
So what kind of deck would this fit in? Some type of midrange deck I guess? Dreadstead, but all the good tools for replicating Dreadsteads are gone in Standard. So maybe this is a card for Wild?
Maybe this card isn't bad, but I don't think there is a current warlock deck archetype that wants this card.
Why not make a card that feeds off of deck discarding?
10 mana Fist of Archimonde: If this card is played or discarded through overdraw, deal 10 damage to the enemy hero. (No i don't have any better name ideas)
I'll contain my thoughts on this card for now, but as things stand people agree on Twisting Nether being more playable.
I think this card will work in a kind of control warlock, but not handlock. Maybe you could make a kind of defensive warlock that emphasizes a high life total (so very little tapping) in order to play cards that have powerful effects but deal damage to your face. Pit Lord is one of the only ones that exists right now, so it seems like a bad example.
i dont think A renolock will use this because it will flood your hand and make you go towards fatigue faster. Tho the one place i can see is a midranged/Combo deck that does the Arcane Golem Combo, Drawing 2-5 from a Boardwipe can get you the pieces you need. Tho im disspointed that Twisting Neither is 8 mana, because id rather see this as 8 mana and having Neither be 6 mana or so.
Dreadsteed survive XD
This is too zoo what elemental explosion is to face shaman.
you can literally draw half your deck in one turn though so you might want elise to increase your deck size by one.
They get this AND Twisting Nether???????????
Its okay Rogues... maybe one day Vanish will be good for something other than mill :,(
A worse twisting nether go on...
when playing twisting nether people usually just ended up tapping afterwards.
This doesn't cost health and refills your hand.
