Or maybe with clockwork giant.
You realize that this card is exactly the opposite of a tempo card right? You play a 2 mana card that doesn't develop the board. Decks like zoo win the game by taking over the board completely; even if this card sneaks in 6 damage, it doesn't play to the win condition of any board control decks.
I have no idea what this card should be used for other than getting through ice block easily.
The one time I encountered it I just ignored it and played minions, I took 6 or 8 damage through this card but I gained so much board advantage that I easily won the game. It is a card that simply should not be played if you are behind on the board.
If this doesn't work with malygos - gg, useless card.
Your malygos dont effect cards in you oppnents hand but if they have malygos and you play this they take 5 extra damge.
I think it should cost 3 or 4 mana to be removed
wait for it...... just wait
(its realy gud)
Could work nice in Aggro/aggro zoo because either
1) the damage will stack up and cause more face dmg, if they leave it for 1 turn then you get 4face dmg which pays off.
2) Instead when at 2/3 mana they waste there turn just removing the curse. Which is also nice.
Troggs.
Cursed! says "While this is in your hand, take 2 damage at the start of your turn". So you're guaranteed to get at least 2 damage out of it.
So, here's the question you should be asking: What happens when the opponent has Spell Damage+ on their field? If he plays Malygos, and then I play this, does he take a guaranteed 7 damage at the start of his turn?
Spell Damage+ should not buff Cursed!. Neither player's spell damage seems to buff Brood Affliction: Red which is essentially the same thing.
I'm so glad they are doing this. Now I just want to see weapons with bleed.
I think it could be a useful tool vs aggro decks to steal tempo in the early game, it could fit in a zoo deck.
What are the cursed cards?
Nevermind. Found it. thought it was different cards, so just basically deals 2 damage and forces the opponent for 2 mana the next turn if not it will gain value.
YES!! Warlock DoTs are here!!! Just wish it was a bit more useful...
This card makes zero sense and another nerf to Locks in Arena. Why can the opponent get rid of it at the same cost? ZERO SENSE, What kind of a curse is that ? It's a laughable one...If it costed them 4 mana then yes, this card would actually make sense.
Turn 2 (You)- Plays Curse of Rafaam
Turn 2(Opponent)- *Takes 2 damage* Options are spend 2 mana to remove the curse. Let the curse slide and take 2 more damage.
Like a good few cards in this set (Excavated Evil) cards may seem to be bad but they have a certain hidden potential. Worst case scenario: you pay 2 mana to deal 2 damage and essentially overload your opponent for 2. Best case scenario: They leave it alone and you spent about 2 mana to do 4, 6, 8... and so on damage. Based on how long they waited. Plus, it may also be affected by spell damage. (Not sure yet) So this card is really powerful early game as it is a guaranteed 2 damage and has potential to buy you a turn. If it IS affected by spell damage then it has the potential to be a powerful late game card as well.
You dont just make a card on how good it is normally, but also how well it synergies with other cards.
I was just pointing out it's decent in general though it does pair well with like Loatheb and good anti-tempo card to give your opponent a choice between bad and worse. I don't have the card but I do wanna try some things out like if it works with spell damage. If anyone finds out I'd love to know.
Oh, and can hit through an ice block. So yay.
