an interesting mechanic actually.
I think it's a drawback in most decks and a major bonus in others. The problem is that there aren't a lot (or any, really) of effects which trigger when a minion enters the battlefield in this game. Usually that's how minions like this get OP in Magic - they enter the battlefield a lot.
I think this is a better card than it seems, perhaps. I mean, just in Arena at least, I see a lot of utility for it. Mostly because it has a high enough toughness and a cheap enough cost that you can drop it on turn 3, kill off a 3/2, say, then bounce it back to your hand with your hero power (which of course will have a positive effect anyway) and then you can replay your 2/5.
I just don't really see the ability as much of a drawback, to be honest. Usually it'll be a way to indirectly heal the minion. I will admit that I see this as an Arena card, I don't see how it could have much of a role in constructed at the moment. But it's a pretty decent (and interesting) Arena card and I'll be curious to test it out.
3 mana for a 2/5 is already pretty eh but then the massive drawback just makes this card totally unplayable
Its a decent card but the issue is that it doesn't solve any issues that most people have with the current meta . If it was a 2/5 with inspire heal this minion to full health then everyone would love this card .
...because that would be overpowered. It's supposed to be a drawback right.
I've never voted for a bad card.
How to avoid voting for a bad card:
Listen to devs who knows which card they like:
If a dev likes a card, it's not terrible. OR the other one is.
Does it look like an epic spell? It's terrible.
Does it look like an epic weapon? It's terrible.
Is it a person reading a tome? It's terrible.
Is it a Treant? Vote for the other unless the other card is one of the above.
Is it a human male with a beard? If yes: Vote for the other one unless it's one of the above. If it's one of the above: Both cards are terrible.
Is it a Druid card? It's terrible. Vote for the other. Always.
Is it an elf? VOTE FOR IT.
verses a weenie deck this could get insane value, you kill a minion or 2 and return it to your hand and do it all again. verses anything bigger it's pretty bad on paper, but honestly the durability here might turn out to be very important.
problems with it is at 3 mana its a little expensive, without charge its too slow verses aggro, and by the time you play it your opponent will be hitting you for 4-6 a turn with 3 creatures if you missed your 1 and 2 drops.
unlike others commenting, I see potential in this card. by no means is it a staple in any current decks but its very durable which means something.
I don't know, it is probably bad, but maybe consider a 3-mana 2/4 minion with deathratte: put a copy of this card on your hand. Would that card be good? If so, then this one is still worse than it, but not that much in a hero-power heavy deck/meta.
I'm just going to force it in every deck I make. HA! loljk
Everyone gets a Druid of the Flame!
I love the concept for this one. The execution, not so much.
The card himself is not good sure but think about the 5 drops now. Sure shredder wil still be bether but if you use turn five sludge and your minion is at 1 health, you might replay this card on turn 6/7 since this is the time when you generally want to play your 1-2 big creatures you have in your deck. If you don't draw into them, you can at least play this as a backup.
guys you don't have to play hero power immediately, just chill and relax and play your hero power some turns later. I bet 90% whi complain here are at rank 20-15 and just want to rush their opponent down. Tel me your stories when the new decklists are on hearthpwn and you copy all these cards in your deck
This is actually the card everybody knows it's good but no one will use it. MAYBE in Arena, but only if the other 2 options are terrible.
such garbage... maybe if it was a 2/3 and cost 1 or 2 mana, or if it had charge or taunt. or an inspire reduce this card to 1 mana or something along those lines it might have been decent. but no one will spent 3 mana, and then 5 more to heal and replay it.
taunt would probably be over powered in a certain type of deck. Charge actually makes sense. Or they could just make it a 3/5 and have the inspire be a draw back.
I think this card is really good. Great stats for trading with common 3/2s. Can one shot a bgh. If you want you can use your heropower to "heal" it and play it again.
Yep that is the obvious means to use it. Its a board cleaner that you can "heal" and also simultaneously protect from possible targeted or aoe removal. You can also use this to bait a secret like Repentance, Snipe, Mirror Image, Misdirection, Explosive Trap, Eye for an Eye,Freezing Trap, Noble Sacrifice.
Thats a bit too hype. 2/5 is a good anti aggro body, it has a slight anti aoe synergy, and it does play aroound snipe and repentance(two rarely played secrets,) , but otherwise ALL the other secrets you mention, played or not, do their job as intended. 2/5 from a mirror entity is still a good deal, misdirect and eye for an eye both deal damage as intended, explosive traps still aoe's the board with some face damage, freezing trap is still a tempo swing, and noble sacrifice is still a psuedo taunt.
I prefer Kezan Mystic for traps...
