the art is kind of underwhelming. doesn't really stand out.
Turn 3 or 4, 6/5 with [inner rage], or potentially 8/5 with two.
Still, thats just a basic vanilla with a lot of power. Interesting though.
heroic from mtg? lol
Heroic is pretty much my favourite mechanic from MtG, so I guess I'd better be trying out this card at least. I'm sure it won't be as strong as Battlewise Hoplite but we'll see.
Why would you play it AND buffs cards when you have Hungry Dragon. Dont see much play for this dude.
So you will play him in your standard mech deck to get those spare parts then buff him for +1/+1?
ok
There are player without Antonidas, also it works for a cheaper mech deck. And yes, since the release of him, Hungry dragon really seems overhyped. Especially since this does not give your opponent a minion.
"But it is only a 1 mana minion, jadajadajada..."
That may be true, but it is still a minion. For example you don't want to give an oil rogue any kind of minion; oiled it does not really matter if it is a 1 mana or a 3 mana minion. And then you are unlucky and your oil-rogue enemy does get a Dust Devil; instant-kill.
Hungry dragon is by far not bad no, but it isn't as strong as many here think; most of the time he is a 5/5 or a 5/4; and for a 5/4 without drawback you already have Lost Tallstrider. And Yeti > Lost Tallstrider.
In the end both of them are still not as good as a Piloted Shredder; the Shredder still beats both the Hungry Dragon and this here, because it is sticky.
Im just waiting for that card thats says all dragons get 2+2 lol anyone
I'm surprised how so few have commented that this is reasonably good with heal cards more than anything. Not too much to worry about from owl etc. with those cards cause the heal isn't removed, just the plus one and you still end up with a decent body left behind. Light of the naru and Ancestral healing are the main ones that come to mind. Ancestral healing especially means it can near trade then become a druid of the claw and yet still play other cards. True Ancestral healing is an awkward card (or down right useless) in most other situations but it has value for this sort of tempo play than its ever had before.
Quite an interesting idea I should have thought of myself, nice one.
You would want to devote your ancestral healing to this card, not the injured blademaster which would detract from this card. Injured Blademaster has its value in priest decks where you can easily heal it up, and there are no other decks that can easily heal up IB.
This card is pretty much an easy finisher with the right cards. T5 has a LOT of potential spell combos for a bunch of decks. Rogue, for instance - Backstab, Cold Blood, Cold Blood, Shiv, face, Conceal. This card is simply too dangerous in a large number of decks to allow it to live for its turn. Shamans, Rogues, Warrior, Priest, Druid, Paladin, even Warlock - All of these classes can do a combo that allows this card to easily be used as a finisher. Of course, it requires the condition of A) your opponent not having a taunt up, B) your opponent allowing your sorc to live 1 turn, and C) having all the buff cards neccesary, but this card can get some good value quickly.
Turn 3 Deathlord
Turn 4 coin Divine Spirit, Divine Spirit, Inner Fire ... 32 damage.
And we already know how good that works.
We ll maybe see a dragon deck and a buf deck (less likely) but i dont think they will be the same deck.... But we have to see 20 more cards to be sure
I cant decide if this is good or not. I can defiantly see this being a silence or BGH hunter target so maybe its good, but usually having multiple card attached to one target is not a good idea.
Here is an idea i had but is not yet complete http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/210445-brm-aggro-warrior
Aggro BRM Warrior
Looks like a great 4 drop option for priest other than Soul Priest
From how it reads, I'm assuming it's only when the owner targets it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
In most card games the "You" refers to the owner, not the reader. Is Hearthstone that much different?
Duh, just looked at my Hearthstone cards, and the "you" is always the owner. See: Wild Pyromancer, Knife Juggler, etc...
Sorry, couldn't find an option to edit my previous post.
I reaaaly hope the efect trigers whenever he is targeted... the text is not clear
Then it would simply die because the effect is only triggered by the owner. See card text for Floating Watcher for reference, whenever they use the term "your" it means the owner and the owner only.
