Clarifications
- The minion summoned can be any two-cost minion that is collectible. It does not summon from your deck. (Source)
Deathrattle: Summon a random 2-Cost minion.
Once upon a time, only goblins piloted shredders. These days, everyone from Doomsayer to Lorewalker Cho seems to ride one.

Surprise Doomsayer saved my ass lol
Surprise Doomsayer wiped my 4 vs 1 board and ruined me. Was very ouch.
It can be very strong, I think especially in arena... Including this time I got the 3/2 windfury thing.
Of course you could get Novice Engineer .... A Wisp body without the battlecry.
Since it's the third time it happened, I'll just share it.
Doomsayer from Piloted Shredder can really save life. By taking many.
Is it better than Yeti? In the cases where Yeti dies in one hit, then yes. In the case of AoE, then yes. But in the cases of minion trading where the Yeti gets a 2-for-1, I think I prefer the Yeti so I can have 4 attack on both trades. It's a tough call though, and if you're using Deathrattle effects in your deck, you'll maybe still have to decide between this and Mechanical Yeti. It's close because it depends on the board state and which one you think will happen more often than the other.
my initial impression is that it was a solid card that would be used in mech decks but after playing around with it a little bit i feel like it can fit into many decks just like harvest golem does because of the crazy value u get for the mana. but i have had the doomsayer nightmare happen to me once...
Wow, the stats are not bad, 4 mana 4-3 but it summons a random 2 drop card (any class I presume). That's like 2 mana 4-3 and for the extra 2 man u summon a random 2 drop, worth it..! AND it's a mech.
My first one was in the arena. A flametongue totem came out. How was it piloting the shredder exactly?
Thrall put it in the cockpit and it's just been sitting on the pedal
Great golden animation! :D Like so much... must spend dust on it :D
Its randomness does not consider rarity or class restrictions. This means you could get Doomsayer or Nat Pagle as often as you get Knife Juggler, Anodized Robo Cub, River Crocolisk, or any other particular 2 drop minion.
Doomsayer would probably be an unwanted ticking time bomb from the Shredder (if you're ahead on board control compared to your opponent), so maybe Recombobulator would be a welcome asset in defusing Doomsayer?
Doomsayer is so low on rng (2%, with there being 50 neutral 2 drops not including tokens), plus if Piloted Shreder died you have greater chances your behind then ahead and freezes the board in your favor.
Kaworu876 explains why this card is good in 3 good points: synergy (mech/deathrattle), stat value, "stickyness"/temo. Only 12 cards out of the 50 will dissapoint, meaning rng is in your favor, and if not its still a card that benifits you besides 3 (doomsayer, egg, ancient watcher can be completely useless in many situations).
It also is more value then its brother Piloted Sky Golem (wich i still think is a fine card because only 8 of 60 are quite bad, but only 36/60 being strong)
This is going to be one of the biggest staple cards of the expansion. Nobody has mentioned that in addition to being essentially on par with Haunted Creeper and Harvest Golem in terms of pure value (two of the strongest and most efficient staple minions in Hearthstone) that it is also a mech! That adds a huge amount of synergy even with other strong aggressive-themed cards we have already seen.
Oh, and let's not forget that on top of the efficiency and stickiness, on top of the mech synergy, there is also deathrattle synergy! *shakes head* This thing is going to be an absolute monster, and everyone should get ready to see it a *lot*. It's big brothers (the 6 mana one and the 8 mana legendary) will also see play of course, but this here is the one that's going to be heavily played in constructed, heavily drafted in Arena... And It's not like this card is aggro-only, either. Because it's just so efficient and has so much synergy, we'll see it in midrange decks of all shape and size, as well. Think about Shaman or Rogue decks that previously haven't had any really great options for 4-mana minions. I could just go on and on about this card...
Seems like a strong card. Has one most cost than harvest golem but two more stats compensate for it. Also it will most likely summon a better card than a vanilla 2/1 minion when it dies. Why is this not getting more hype?
Because it can screw up aggressive decks, pulling Explosive Sheep, Unstable Ghoul or Doomsayer will all suck. There are plenty of nice minions it can pull, but some players will not want to take that risk.
Ho-ly crab!
oh, rather... Captain's Parrot
If this pulls a Millhouse Manastorm without downside it would be awesome.
Piloted Sky Golem -> Piloted Shredder -> Millhouse Manastorm
Quite the Russian nesting doll, wouldn't you agree?
Best Combo ever xD
Has potential in zoo, stats are weak tho, so probably not gonna see much play.
