"Hearthstone has been updated!" PC. Can't play

  • I load the game through the BNet desktop app and then get the following message in hearthstone.
"Hearthstone has been updated! please download the latest version"

The BNet app doesn't give me the option to update.

    Hearthstone: 2.0.0.7234
    Win7 Pro Sp1
    Battle.net Version 1.2.4.5383
    Battle.net Agent Version 1.15.6.3689

    {edited: more system/version details added}
  • Hi Corrosive, have you already tried restarting your Battle.net app, and restarting your computer?

If you've already done that, try running the Battle.net app on another User Account in Windows, and see what happens.

  • Corrosive, can you boot into a Selective Startup, and list the Running Tasks and Services?

Hit the Windows key + R, and type:
    msinfo32
    Then hit Enter or Ok.

This will bring up System Information.

Click on the + sign next to Software Environments
    Click on Running Tasks
Click on one item on the right side
Click on Edit, and then Select All (Or hit Ctrl-A)
Click on Edit, and the Copy (Or hit Ctrl-C)

Then Paste everything into a reply.

    Then click on Services
Click on one item on the right side
Click on Edit, and then Select All (Or hit Ctrl-A)
Click on Edit, and the Copy (Or hit Ctrl-C)

Paste everything into the post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the "pre" button (It says "Code Blocks" when you hover your mouse over it). That'll make the information much more readable.

  • I don't see anything that could be interfering with the patching process.

Secondary Logon seclogon Stopped Manual Share Process c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs Normal LocalSystem 0

Can you make sure the Secondary Logon service is running?

If that doesn't help, try deleting these Battle.net files.
